Janet R. Cook, 81, of Buck Run passed away Sunday, September 11th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital East Norweign Street, Pottsville.

Janet was born in Sayre, PA on August 10, 1941, a daughter of the late Ruth (Bennett) and Emmerson Kelley.

Janet is survived by three daughters, Kristy Tarbox, of Canton PA; Lauraette Ditxler, of Buck Run; Trena Jennings, Companion Kenny Brown, of Columbia Cross Roads.

She is also survived by also survived by six grandchildren Corey Allen (Hailey), Kyle Allen, Kale Allen (Courtney Bailey), Rachel Ditzler (Nick Grenus), Devon Cooke and Whitney Cooke, great grandchildren Reese Allen, Ava Allen, Bradley Allen, Cooper Allen, Michael Bailey, Bradeyn Ditzler, Nichloas Maccarone, Landon White, Layla White, Bently Allen, Skylar Allen. and a special friend Miss Kitty Bosack

Preceded in death by 4 brothers Ronald Kelley, Kevin Kelley, Larry Kelley, Richard Kelley 2 sisters Margaret Lammey, Loraine Rusk. Grandson Trevor Cooke

Private Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family .

The family prefers remembrances in the form of contributions to Canton High School 509 East Main Street Canton, PA 17724 or Mapleshade Meadows Senior Living ( Arts and Crafts Funds) 509 East Locust Street Nesquehoning PA 18240.

Clyde S. Houser, 92, of Sellersville, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022.

Born in Zion Grove, he was the son of the late Jeremiah and Laura (Lutz) Houser.

Clyde was employed at the Luther Davis farm, then worked at the Anthracite Baking Company before working for and retiring in 1995 from Keller's Creamery in Harleysville.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Telford. Clyde enjoyed gardening and both reading western novels and watching western movies.

Clyde was preceded in death by his beloved companion, Rose Ott, in 1996, and by his brothers, Allen, Alvin, Luther, a sister, Ruth Zimmerman, and his half-sisters Caroline Yeager and Delores Mourer, along with a niece, Phyllis Deebel.

He is survived by nieces and nephews, John and Lee Mourer, Jr.; Faye Recla; Bill Zimmerman; Tom Zimmerman; Ken Zimmerman; Betsy Groff; Laurie Burrage; Dave Zimmerman; Lisa Long; Gladys Gradel and Luann Arcaro.

A Funeral service will be held at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, on Thursday, September 15th at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Clydes family from 10 AM until the time of the service.

Memorial donations in Clydes name are asked to be made to the Home Stretch Horse Rescue, 509 Forest Road, Perkasie, Pa 18944.

Richard B. Prentiss
, 89, of New Ringgold, PA, formerly of Union Beach, NJ, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022 in Geisinger St. Luke’s Hospital, Orwigsburg, PA. He was the husband of Carolyn Prentiss. They were married on May 9, 1953 and celebrated 69 years of marriage. 

Prior to retiring, he was a self-employed mechanic. Born in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late Richard and Anna Prentiss. Richard was an Army veteran of the Korean War where he was awarded the Purple Heart Medal. He was an avid CB radio enthusiast. 

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Victoria Kullberg, two sisters, Lillian Prentiss, and Betty Ann Galarza, and a brother, Ronald. 

Surviving in addition to his wife, are three daughters, Sharon, wife of Doug Huebsch, of Elmwood Park, NJ, Denise, wife of Michael Nicastro, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, and Paula Prentiss, of New Ringgold, PA; nine grandchildren, William, Thomas, Richard, Carolyn, Casey Lynn, Tracy, David, Frank, and Kristen; 16 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. 

Service and interment with military honors will be held at 10am on Monday, September 19, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516. 

Arrangements are being handled by the Hartman Funeral Home, 1791 West Penn Pike, Rte. 309, New Ringgold, PA 17960.
