Ruth C. Giba
, 74, of Frackville, passed away Thursday September 15, 2022 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest, Allentown.

Born in Frackville, September 24, 1947, She was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Margaret (Rhoades) Craig.

She was a Graduate of Frackville High School.

Ruth was a member of the former St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Frackville and a past Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers Benjamin, Lee, John Craig and 1 sister Margaret Mackey.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years Robert Giba, son Robert Giba and his wife Jackie of Frackville, daughter Kathleen Etnoyer and her husband Arthur of Highspire, 5 grandsons Craig, Bobby and TJ Giba, Dominic and Michael Kadziela and one brother William Craig of Bellevue, NE.

Funeral Service will be held at 8:00 PM Wednesday. September 21, 2022 from the Nice – Hart Funeral Home, 9 North Lehigh Avenue, Frackville, PA 17931. The Rev. Jack Murray will be officiating. Friends may call from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the funeral home . In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph Ceneter for Special Learning, 2075 West Norwegian Street, Pottsville, PA 17901.

Nice Hart Funeral Home Inc., Frackville, is in charge of arrangements.

Beatrice L. “Bea” Kuzio, 68, Fountain Springs, passed away Saturday, September 17th at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Ashland, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Margaret “Midge” Hansbury Miller. She worked as an LPN for 38 years for the former Ashland State Hospital and Saint Catherine’s before retiring.

She was a devout member of St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Frackville where she dedicated herself to many volunteering activities including her favorite, making homemade pierogies. She cherished her family, attending games and events for her sons, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed planning the Miller family reunions.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Edward Miller.

Bea is survived by her husband of 38 years, Stephen A. Kuzio, Fountain Springs; her sons: Stephen M. and his wife Rhonda Kuzio, Frackville and Christopher Kuzio, Frackville; her brother, Myles and his wife Jean Miller, Ashland; her sisters: Sally Meade, Frackville and Mary McDonald, Ashland; her grandchildren whom she adored, Abigail, Nicholas, Kyan and Logan; many nieces and nephews.

Divine Liturgy will be held on Thursday, September 22nd at 11:30 a.m. from St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Frackville with Rev. Petro Zvarych, pastor, as the celebrant. Friends are invited to call at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville on Thursday morning from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. with a parastas service beginning at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery, Englewood, Frackville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in Beatrice’s name, to St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church at 243 S. Middle Street Frackville, PA 17931.
