Schuylkill County Law Enforcement Participating in National Drug Take Back Day Today

  


Schuylkill County Sheriff Joe Groody, Schuylkill County Drug and Alcohol and local Law Enforcement have announced they are participating in the National Drug Take Back Day, on Saturday October 29th, 2022 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.

The following locations will be collection sites around Schuylkill County:
  • Ashland Police Department: 401 South 18th Street Ashland
  • Butler Township Police Department: 211 Broad Street Ashland
  • Cass Township Police Department: 1209 Valley Road Duncott
  • Coaldale Police Department: 221-221 3rd Street Coaldale
  • Frackville Police Department: 42 South Center Street, Frackville
  • Hegins Police Department: 417 Gap Street, Valley View
  • Mahanoy City Police Department: 239 East Pine Street, Mahanoy City
  • Mahanoy Township Police: 1010 Center Street, Mahanoy City
  • Minersville Police Department: 15 North Delaware Avenue, Minersville
  • Orwigsburg Police Department: 209 North Warren Street, Orwigsburg
  • Palo Alto police Department: 142 East Bacon Street, Palo Alto
  • Pine Grove Police Department: One Snyder Drive, Pine Grove
  • Port Carbon Police Department: 90 Washington Street, Port Carbon
  • Rush Township Police Department: 104 Mahanoy Avenue, Tamaqua
  • Saint Clair Police Department: 24 North 2nd Street, Saint Clair
  • Saint Lukes Miners Campus: 360 West Ruddle Street, Coaldale
  • Schuylkill County Court House (Security Entrance) 401 N 2nd ST ,Pottsville
  • Schuylkill Haven Police Department: 220 Parkway Avenue, Schuylkill Haven
  • Shenandoah Police Department: 15 West Washington Street, Shenandoah
  • Tamaqua Police Department: 320 Broad Street, Tamaqua
  • West Mahanoy Township police Dept: 190 Pennsylvania Ave, Shenandoah Heights.
This is a one day event that is free of charge and open to everyone. The program is anonymous. You are encouraged to remove your personal information from the prescription labels. Participants may dispose of medication in its' original container or by removing the medication from its container and disposing of it directly into the disposal box.

All expired or unwanted controlled, non-controlled and over the counter medicines are accepted. Also liquid products, such as cough syrup should remain sealed in their original plastic container. 

The following items are NOT accepted: glass containers, intra-venous solutions, injectables, syringes and illegal substances such as marijuana or methamphetamines.
