Dolores T. Peleschak
, 82, Englewood, Frackville, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday at her residence.

Born in Nanticoke, she was a daughter of the late Eli and Katherine Kloss Wisinski.

She was devout member of St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Frackville where she served as the coordinator of the altar boys for over 20 years and was also a part of the pierogie making group. She was a lifetime member of the Friendship Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and the Frackville Elks BPOE 1533.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Peleschak and her sister Geraldine Stanker.

Dolores is survived by her eight children: John and his wife Mary Anne Peleschak; Anna and her husband Lee Holtz; Rosemarie and her husband Brian Clark; Susan Thraen and her partner Tim Dark; Eli and his wife Jacqueline Peleschak; Mark Peleschak and his husband Karl Gerlot; Michael and his wife Carissa Peleschak; Matthew and his wife Annelle Peleschak; her brother, Richard and his wife Joanne Wisinski; her sister, Bernadine Rakowski; her 15 grandchildren: John, Ashley, Alicia, Ulana, Daniel, Andrew, Elizabeth, Abbey, Emily, Olivia, Christian, Cadence, Matthew, Caitlyn and Ronald; her two great-grandchildren: Reagan and Taylor; nieces and nephews.

Divine Liturgy will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 14th at St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Frackville with Rev. Petro Zvarych, pastor, as the celebrant. Friends are invited to her viewing at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. with parastas beginning at 7 p.m. and again on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery, Englewood.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made, in Dolores’s name, to either the memorial fund at St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church 243 S. Middle Street Frackville, PA 17931 or the Friendship Fire Company at PO Box 157 Frackville, PA 17931

Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home Inc., Frackville, is in charge of arrangements.

Rita (Kwiatkowski) Flowers
, 94, formerly of 315 S. Hickory Street, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023, at Ridgeview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Shenandoah.

She was born on February 3, 1928, the daughter of the late Anthony and Theresa (Becker) Flowers.

Rita attended Our Mother of Consolation School. She worked as a seamstress in a local factory. She lived in Atlas most of her life and in 1990 she moved to the mid-rise in Mount Carmel.

Rita was a member of Divine Redeemer Church, formerly Our Mother of Consolation Church. She was member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.

Rita is survived by many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. In addition to her parents, Rita was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward, Frances, and Leonard.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023, at 11 a.m. with Father Bernard Wamayose, A.J. as celebrant in Divine Redeemer Church, Mt. Carmel. Burial will follow in Our Mother of Consolation Cemetery, Mt. Carmel Twp. Viewing will be held from 9 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. with transferal prayers at 10 a.m. in the C. J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine St., Mt. Carmel, C. J. Lucas IV, Supervisor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741 or the ALS Association, PO Box 37022, Boone, IA 50037-0022.
