Leonard J. Rhoads, Jr., 74, of Minersville, passed away Saturday, January 21st, at his home. 

Len was born in Philadelphia, Pa. on February 29, 1948, a son of the late Julia (Bodak) and Leonard James Rhoads, Sr. He was graduate of Minersville Area High School and Alvernia University. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He spent his career teaching children with special needs for several school districts. Len was a former volunteer Little League Baseball coach. A Lifetime Member of the Goodwill Fire Co. No.1, Minersville and a member of the Harding Gun Club. 

He is survived by a daughter, Jennifer B. Rhoads, wife of Mark Warner, two sons John, husband of Kristi Flannery, Scott, husband of Heather Flannery. He is also survived by a brother, Gary, husband of Marion Rhoads Also surviving are his grandchildren, Brock & Logan Warner, Devyn, Aidan, Brennan, Colin, & Griffin Flannery, as well as a Nephew Jason Rhoads, and Niece, Abby Rhoads.

A Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 26th at Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc.104 S. 4th St. Minersville. 

A Religious Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday at the funeral home with Reverend Jason F. Stokes officiating. Interment with Military Honors at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations made to the Special Olympics at specialolympicspaglvpr.org Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville entrusted with the arrangements.

Dwight J. Moore
, 60, of Pottsville, passed away Friday, January 20th, suddenly with his wife Amanda at his side.

Dwight was born in Phoenixville, on May 11, 1962, a son of the late Elaine (Bond) and John K. Moore. 
He was the husband of Amanda (Kiefer) Moore. They were married on June 27th, 2008.

He was previously employed as an Office Repair Technician for Staples Cressona.

He was a firefighter for over 40 years and was also a Deputy Fire Police Commissioner and Commander of Sons of American Legion, Post #38.

In addition to his wife Amanda, of 14 years, Dwight is survived by his stepdaughter, Kelsey, wife of Alex Fidler and their daughter Adalynn; and stepson, Shane Otto.

Dwight is also survived by two brothers, John K. Moore, Jr., husband of Denise and Chad Moore, husband of Diane.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday January 30th, at 11:00 at Hamilton - Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg, Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM.
Interment will be held at Cressona Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Red Creek Wildlife Center 300 Moon Hill Drive, Schuylkill Haven, PA 17961.
