Michael E. Siluk, Sr. 70 of Middleport passed away Tuesday while at the St. Luke’s Hospital Carbon Campus.

Michael was born March 26, 1952 and raised in New Ringgold by his parents the late Michael and Mary Siluk.

He was a graduate of Blue Mountain Area High School in 1970.

Michael worked for ALCOA and Cressona Aluminum for many years.

Michael was an avid pool player and enjoyed the outdoors.

In addition to his parents his is predeceased by his wife Philemayne who passed away in 2005. He was also the last of remaining member of his five other siblings who predecease him.

He is survived by his children; Michael Siluk Jr. of Bellefonte, Scott Siluk of Pottsville, William Siluk husband to Marissa of Orwigsburg, and Rebecca McDonough wife of Kevin of Middleport. He is also survived by grandchildren; Michael III, Alyssa, Jessica, Joshua, Benjamin, Anthony, Mary, Samantha, Matthew, Alex, Cassandra, Destiny, and Frank along with numerous great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday at Grabowski Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven. A viewing will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery in McAdoo at a later date.

Jane Fetterolf
, 67, of Ashland, passed away on January 25, 2023, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle of 10 years with cancer. She left this world the way she lived her life – loving, laughing, and creating memories.

Jane was born December 30, 1955, in Ashland, she was the daughter of the late Margaret (Fetterman) and Lesly May. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Houser and her granddaughter, Cobie Pines, and nephews Shawn Kelly, Frankie Towey, AJ and niece Allison Houser.

Jane is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, James W. Fetterolf; her two children, Jessica, wife of William Pines, of Camp Hill, and son Jacob Fetterolf; granddaughter Paislee Fetterolf of Ashland. Jane was loved by countless nieces, nephews, family members, friends, and we can’t forget the POB’s who she loved dearly.

Jane was a graduate of North Schuylkill High School, class of 1974. Upon graduation she went to work at Tri-State Envelope Corporation for 47 years until retiring in February 2021. She enjoyed spending time at the beach with family and friends. Her pride and joys were being with her children and grandchild. Anyone who ever met her loved her. Everyone that she had worked with adored her and called her “Aunt Jane.” Jane had a quick wit and the best come backs you ever heard.

She was known for her CMP dessert and pasta Scabittine, everyone enjoyed and requested her to make them for parties. We sure will miss these dishes!

Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of life funeral service Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 11 AM, at the Good Shepard Lutheran Church, Ashland. A viewing will be held in the church beginning at 9 AM until time of service. Officiating Rev. Dana Heckman Biel, Pastor. Lori Ann Bright
, 48, of Girardville, passed away on Wednesday, January 11th, 2023, at her home.

Born in Pottsville on August 14th, 1974, she was the daughter of the late John H. Bright and surviving mother, Barbara “Sekela” Bright.

Lori Ann was a graduate of Mahanoy Area High School. She worked for Reynold’s in Tamaqua and Mrs. T’s in Shenandoah. She loved going camping and taking trips to the casino.

Besides her father John, she was preceded by her grandparents, Florence and Alfred Bright as well as Rose and John Sekela.

Along with her mother, Barbara, surviving family include her loving husband, Kevin McCloy – Girardville, her 3 children - Christopher Bright, Kassidy Ulshafer, and Martin Ulshafer, her sister – Kimberly White with her husband Tim, her brother – John A. Bright, along with aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
