Judith A. Osenbach,
 78 years of age, of Lake Drive, Lake Hauto, Nesquehoning, Pennsylvania passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023, at St. Luke's Carbon Campus in Lehighton, Pennsylvania.

Born Thursday, June 15, 1944 in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Edward, and Blanche (Urlich) Bankes.

Surviving are; her beloved husband of 52 years, Kenneth G. Osenbach; daughter & caregiver, Jennifer M. Fayash wife of Randy of Nesquehoning; Aunt Frances Maziekus of Triangle, VA and many nieces and nephews.

A graduate of Mahaony Area High School class of 1962, Judith matriculated to Temple University earning her degree as a Dental Hygienist. Judy worked for Dr. Lobichusky of Mahanoy City for over 40 years. Judy enjoyed gardening, and summers at Lake Hauto. An animal lover, Judy loved her Boston Terriers Mazey Dae and Morty.

A Celebration of Judy's Life, and a gathering of friends and family will be held at 300 Lake Drive, Nesquehoning on January 21, 2023 from 1 o'clock P.M.. All are invited and encouraged to attend. Please reach out to Jen at 570-527-6515 for the gate code to the development.

Lorrie L. Deegan
, age 53, of Schuylkill Haven, PA , passed away on Sunday, January 1st, 2023 at St. Luke's Hospital-Bethlehem Campus.

Born in Pottsville, PA on January 24, 1969, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Deegan and Helen (Betack) Drye who survives her in Frackville.

Lorrie was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School, Class of 1988. She worked as a counselor at Conewago-Pottsville. Lorrie was an avid reader and author. She loved all animals, especially her puppy, Mr. B, going to the beach, and horseback riding.

In addition to her mother, Lorrie is survived by her daughter Madison Deegan; her sister Paula Deegan; and numerous cousins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home in Port Carbon at 7PM on Tuesday, January 10th, with Deacon Jack Quirk officiating.

Relatives and Friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday from 5:30-7PM at the Funeral Home.

Interment will be held private.

Gladys M. Krell
, beloved mother, sister, 96 years of age, of Spring House Road Lehighton, Pennsylvania passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at home.

Born Wednesday, October 13, 1926 in Summit Hill, the daughter of the late George O., and Amelia (Hamm) Steigerwalt. Gladys was also predeceased by; her husband of 63 years, Richard C. Krell on February 22, 2011; brother, Nathan Steigerwalt.

Surviving are sons, William R. Krell and his wife Lori of Tamaqua, Jeffrey A. Krell of Massachusetts, Thomas C. Krell and his companion Rebecca Johnson of Lehighton; sister, Marion Kupres of Florida; nephews, Robert Krell and his wife Elnita, Arnold Steigerwalt and his wife Ronnie, Bruce Steigerwalt, Craig Steigerwalt and his wife Susan.

A graduate of Summit Hill High School, Gladys was an active member of St. Peter's Church of Mantzville. Gladys was a homemaker who was a talented seamstress, terrific cook, and baker. She adored her sons, and looked forward to their visits.

Judy R. Houtz
, 73, of Tower City, passed away Thursday morning, January 5, 2023, at UPMC-Harrisburg.

Born in Lykens, July 10, 1949, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Bessie Long Rabuck. She was a 1967 graduate of Williams Valley High School.

Judy was retired from ZEMCO, Williamstown.

She was a member of the Tower City Loyal Order of Moose. She was a huge fan of Elvis Presley, and could often be found attending many of Elvis impersonator shows. She enjoyed her trips to the casino, Dollywood and especially vacationing at Wildwood, New Jersey.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Daniel E. Houtz, 2009 and a sister Alice Sulicki, 2021.

Surviving are her son, James C. Rabuck (Susan), Etters; two granddaughters, Kaytlyn Rabuck (Devyn Boyer) and Hannah Rabuck, New Cumberland; two great grandsons, Eli and Greyson; a brother, Lloyd Rabuck (Cheryl), Jonestown. Nieces, nephews and many friends.

Following Judy's wishes there will be no services.

Peter A. “Shiny” Russo
, 92, of Kelayres, passed away Wednesday, surrounded by his loving family, at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.

Born in Kelayres, he was the son of the late Anthony and Catherine (Fudge) Russo.

Peter was a Korean War Veteran serving as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army.

He was a member of Church of All Saints, McAdoo.

Prior to retiring, Peter was a proprietor of Russo’s Service Station, McAdoo, along with his brother John.

Peter was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed many hunting and fishing trips throughout the United States and Canada. He also enjoyed playing poker and trips to the area casinos.

Peter is reunited with the love of his life, his wife the late Anna Joan (Hudock) Russo; also preceding him in death were his brothers John, Anthony Jr. and Generose Russo.

Surviving are his daughter Marianne Nelson and husband Larry, Hazle Twp; sister, Philomena “Dolly” Russo, Hazle Twp; and many nieces and nephews also survive.

His funeral will be held Monday. Rev. Msgr. William Baker will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial in Church of All Saints, McAdoo, at 10 a.m. interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.

A calling hour will be held Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. in the church.

The Damiano Funeral Home Inc., McAdoo, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ellen M. Harig
, 78, of Schuylkill Haven passed away Tuesday at Geisinger St. Luke’s Hospital, Orwigsburg.

Born April 7, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Alice Brensinger Wenrich.

Ellen was a 1962 graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School. She worked as a seamstress locally and was also a crossing guard for the Schuylkill Haven School District.

She was a member of Faith UCC Church in Landingville.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her god-son and nephew, Carl Wenrich, Jr. who passed away in May.

Ellen is survived by her loving husband William. She is also survived by siblings; Carl “Butch” Wenrich husband to Nancy of Chester County, Mary Jane Toomey wife of Thomas of Lake Wynonah and Lucille Faust wife of Ronald of Lake Wynonah. She is also survived by nieces and nephews including her god-son Paul Richard Harig husband to Connie and their daughter Sydney.

A viewing will be held at Grabowski Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven on Thursday from 11:00 to Noon. Interment will be on the grounds of Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
