Robert Anthony Mozdy, 87, of Shenandoah, passed away on Sunday, February 12th, 2023, at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born in Shenandoah on May 2nd, 1935, he was the son of the late Louis and Bertha (Bokienewicz) Mozdy.

Robert was a self-employed auto mechanic at his own business in Shenandoah for many years. With his knowledge of auto mechanics, he also instructed at the Schuylkill Vo-Tech. He loved the sport of football and was actively involved in the Shenandoah Midget Football program, and until his passing, he was the longest living member of the Polish American Fire Company in Shenandoah.

Surviving family include his wife of 63 years, Catherine (Goff) Mozdy, 3 sons – Robert Mozdy with Lisa – North Carolina, Stephen Mozdy with Shannon – Shenandoah, and Paul Mozdy – Shenandoah, 1 daughter- Lynn Mozdy with Gary – Catawissa, 1 brother – Louis Mozdy- York, 5 grandchildren- David, Joseph, Kyle, Amanda, and Michael, 3 great grandchildren- Elena, Emma, and Calliope, nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, February 15th from 8 to 10:30am at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, Shenandoah. Scripture services will be conducted at 10:30am by Msgr. Myron Grabowsky. Burial will immediately follow in the Old St. Casimir’s Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

Christine M. Wilson, 71, of Middleport, passed away on Sunday morning surrounded by her family in her residence.

Born in Pottsville, on December 18, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Gladys (Russell) Yoder.

She was a graduate of Pottsville High School.

Christine was employed as an aide at the former Rest Haven, Schuylkill Haven.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter "Jack" Wilson, in 1984; and daughters: Sherri A. Sadusky and Lori Youst.

Christine is survived by: grandchildren: Stephanie Issermoyer, wife of Jay, of Middleport; Richard Youst, husband of Taryn, of Schuylkill Haven; and Karisa Lash, fiance of Jake Schmoyer, of Pottsville; great grandchildren: Sebastian, Natalia, Alyvia, Kamryn, Landyn, Linkyn, Chase, and Kyler.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 26th, at 1:00 p.m. at the home of Richard and Taryn Youst, 46 Grace Ave., Schuylkill Haven, PA.

Lord-Bixler Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.

Raymond E. Kozlusky, age 75, of Port Carbon, PA passed away Monday, February 13th, 2023 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Allentown.

Born in Pottsville, PA on September 16, 1947, he was the son of the late John W. and Anna (Greene) Kozlusky.

Ray was a graduate of Pottsville High School, Class of 1966. He served in the U.S. Army as a Sgt from 1966 till 1969. Ray worked as a pipefitter in Berwick and was a member of the former St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church in Port Carbon.

Ray is survived by his wife of 30 years, Linda Ann (Martin) Kozlusky; a son Jason Martin, Port Carbon; a daughter Trina Bayshore and her husband Martin, Delaware; two granddaughters; a brother Walter Kozlusky and his wife Pauline, New Philadelphia; and a nephew Andrew Kozlusky and his wife Samantha, Palo Alto.

Military Honors and interment will be held at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville.

Cheryl A. Schneck
, 75, of Oak Grove Rd., Pine Grove, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Schuylkill East in Pottsville.

Born on May 2, 1947 in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Jack and Clara Beck Fidler.

She was a member of the Pine Grove Area High School Class of 1965.

Cheryl was a Realtor and worked for Prudential Landis Homesale Services. She had previously worked at Gold Mills in Pine Grove.

She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove. She was also a member of the Pinegrove Historical Society, former member of the Jaycee's in the 1970's and was a former board member of the Pine Grove Joint Treatment Authority.

Preceding her in death were two brothers, Dennis Fidler and James Fidler.

Surviving are three daughters, Yvonne Moyer of Fairmont, W.V., Yvette Sproull of Newport, Rhonda and husband Michael Culbert of Pine Grove; 11 grandchildren, Wayne, Zachary, Grant, Philip, Hannah, Ethan, Sarah, Abigail, Benjamin, Kaleesi, and Jonah; a sister, Jane Fidler of Port St. Lucie, FL; a brother, Lynn and wife Tammy Fidler of Asheville, N.C; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 20, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove with Pastor Brian Beissel officiating. There will be a viewing on Monday, February 20, 2023 from 9:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Outwood Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to either the Ruth Steinert Memorial SPCA, 18 Wertz Dr. Pine Grove, Pa. 17963 or the Pinegrove Historical Society, P.O. Box 65, Pine Grove, Pa. 17963 in her memory.
