Ruth " Margie" Margaret (Schaefer) Donald
, 95 of Nesquehoning, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Monday, February 13, 2023, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial in Coaldale, Pennsylvania with her beloved family by her side.

Born September 6, 1927 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania, Margie was a daughter of the late John (Whistler)and Jennie Pauline (Fulton) Schaefer. She was also preceded in death by her husband John R. Donald, two sisters Hazle(Honey) Laurenti and Elizabeth Mashack and two nieces Sheree Anne Zeigler and Patricia (Laurenti) Raeder.

A graduate of Tamaqua Area High School Class of 1946, Margie was a talented artist who loved decorating her home and spending holidays with her family. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Tamaqua and the VFW Auxiliary, Nesquehoning. Margie loved sharing stories of yesteryear ,music, singing, and animals. She was devoted to her family and pets.

Surviving are sister, Barbara Cienki and her husband August of GA, nieces Olivia (Laurenti) Klingaman, Gail (Laurenti) Blessing, nephew Jan Schaefer Laurenti, and niece Beth (Maschak) Antosh. Several great nieces and nephews also survive Margie.


Private services have been entrusted to E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc. 655 East Broad Street, Tamaqua, PA 18252 570-668-2550

In lieu of flowers contribution may be made to Carbon County Animal Shelter, 63 Broad Street, Nesquehoning, PA 18240.

Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania

Marquetta Wheeler
, 81 passed away Saturday, February 11, 2023 at her home in New Ringgold.

Born in Binghamton NY, January 1, 1942 she was a daughter of the late Irving J. and Marjorie (Miller) Brown.

Marquetta had a passion for animals and sports. She was the owner of her own grooming business and showed her dogs. She was a fan of the New York Yankees and Giants. She loved NASCAR and golf, especially Tiger Woods.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother James Brown.

Surviving are her husband of 62 years Fredrick Wheeler, 3 daughters, Deborah Wheeler and her husband Robert Birdsall of New Ringgold, Vicky Croot and her husband Jeffery of Albrightsville, Laura Smith and her companion Heather Sweeney of Springfield NJ, 3 sons Vincent Wheeler and his companion Sandy Robillard of Binghamton NY, Brian Wheeler of Thonotosassa, FL, Mark Wheeler of New Ringgold, 2 brothers Richard and Ronald Brown, 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Private services have been entrusted to E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 655 East Broad Street, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252, 570-668-2550.
