Dixie L. Skinner
, 74, of Pottsville, passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon at Tremont Health & Rehab Center, Tremont.

Born in Reading, on January 2, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Edna (Foltz) Skinner.

She worked as a dispatcher at STS Transportation, Pottsville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Kerry and Dane Skinner.

She is survived by a son, Jason R. Skinner, companion of Beth, of Bradenton, FL; granddaughter, Katherine Skinner; sisters: Darlene Gerner and Rainey Edwards; brothers: Nelson and Kevin Skinner; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Lord-Bixler Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.

Ida L. Miller, 80, formerly of Schuylkill Haven passed away Friday while a resident of Golden Living Center – York Terrace.

Born in Pottsville on July 17, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy Wilson Donton.

Ida was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church in Schuylkill Haven.

She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. When Ida wasn’t working as a sewing machine operator her time was devoted to her family and those she loved.

In addition to her parents Ida is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, John L. Miller who passed away in 2020. She is also preceded in death by brothers; Lyman, Robert, Clarence, Lyndy Donton and sisters Betty Paul and Beatrice Richards.

Ida is survived by her children; Brian J. Miller husband to Jennifer of Barnesville, Gary J. Miller of Orwigsburg, and Kim Schnoke of Palo Alto. She is also survived by grandchildren; Brian Jr., Shane, Francis, Gary Jr., Tyler, Sierra, Krystin, Paul Schnoke Jr., Nikki and Carlie Schnoke along with great grandchildren Jayce and Noah. She is also survived by her sister Dorothy Begley and brother Warren Donton.

Services are private at the convenience of the family. Grabowski Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven is entrusted with the services. Interment will be on the grounds of Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

Lois E. Becker, 84, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Saturday, January 28th, at Orwigsburg Center, Orwigsburg.

Lois was born in Pottsville, PA on April 27, 1938, a daughter of the late Thelma (Heinbaugh) Heffner and David Heffner.

She was the widow of Robert Alan Becker Sr. who died in 2016. Also preceded her in death are two sons Robert Jr and Richard.

She was a member of Grace Evangelical Congregational Church Schuylkill Haven, PA .

Lois retired as the main cook in the cafeteria for Schuylkill Haven School District

Lois is survived by two daughters, Lynn, wife of David Everly, of Orwigsburg PA; Lisa, wife of William Kline, of Schuylkill Haven, two sons Ronald, husband of Janice Becker, of Bethlehem; Rodney, husband of Kerrie Becker, of Palmyra.

She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, February 6th at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Inc in Schuylkill Haven, PA with Rev. Ted Rathman officiating. A viewing for family and friends will be 9:30 - 10:30 am prior to services.

The family prefers remembrances in the form of contributions to Grace Evangelical Church Jefferson Street and Stoyer Drive Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.

Interment at Schuylkill Memorial Park Schuylkill Haven, PA.

Ronald "Ronnie" Raymond Luscavage
, 74, of Shenandoah, passed away peacefully at Pennsylvania Hospital on Friday, February 3, 2022, with family by his side.

Born in Shenandoah, PA he was the son of Felix and Regina (Leonarczyk) Luscavage. Ronnie was a proud graduate of Shenandoah Catholic (The Mighty Atoms) and RETS Electronic School. He also attended Penn State University. Prior to his retirement, Ronnie worked for the borough of Shenandoah as the Wastewater Treatment Plant Manager for over 30 years. He and Mary were the proud original owners of Pic A Pac Restaurant in Mahanoy City, PA for 19 years. Ronnie was a member of the Polish American Fire Company, St. Casimir's Church, the Jaycees, and was the past president of the local AFSME Union.

Ronnie loved being a Pop Pop and doted on all of his grandchildren at every opportunity. His sense of humor toward life and everyday situations was legendary amongst family and friends. Ronnie enjoyed sports and avidly followed Penn State football, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Phillies. He also enjoyed fishing, trap shooting, going "down the shore" in the summer time, and taking trips to the casino.

In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Luscavage and his brother-in-law, Dominic Amato.

Ronnie is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary (Amato); his son, Anthony and wife Jennifer of Conway, South Carolina, his daughter, Gina Ross and her husband Michael of Plymouth Meeting. He also has six grandchildren: Brittannie Luscavage, Alexandria Luscavage, Nicholas Luscavage, Olivia Ross, Jonas Ross, and Jacob Ross. Ron also has nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, February 8th from 5 to 8 pm at Divine Mercy Parish, 218 W. Cherry St, Shenandoah. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning, February 9th at 10:30am in Divine Mercy Parish with Msgr. Ronald Bocian officiating. Interment will follow Mass in the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

Contributions in Ronnie’s name may be made to either: Father Ciszek Prayer League, Downtown Shenandoah Inc., or the Shenandoah Public Library
