Mary Elizabeth Ebling, age 88, of Pottsville, PA passed away Friday, March 17th, 2023 at Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital-Orwigsburg Campus.

Born in Wayne Township, PA on August 6, 1934, she was the daughter of the late John and Philippine (Krasko) Konkus.

Mary was a graduate of Cressona High School, Class of 1953. She worked as a salesclerk for Pomeroy's Department Store, as a presser for the ARGO Corp., as an examiner for Cressona Knitting Mill, and then was self-employed along with her husband Harold and opened the H & M Ebling Glass business in Cressona.

Mary was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church in Schuylkill Haven and loved gardening, flowers, raising her family and taking care of her home.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Harold Clarence Ebling on January 14, 2022, a grandson Nicholas Ebling, a brother Richard Konkus, and a sister Jenny Neifert.

Mary is survived by a daughter Mary Landry, Texas; four sons: Harold Ebling and his wife Lisa, Mt. Carbon, Zachary Ebling, Pottsville, Matthew Ebling and his wife Tracey, Wernersville, and Keith Ebling and his wife Kristin, Schuylkill Haven; five grandsons: Christopher, Harold, Russie, Nathan, and Lucas; a step-granddaughter Bobbie Lynn; sixteen great-grandchildren; a brother John Konkus, Pottsville; a sister Eleanor Fake, Lancaster; and nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972. at 10:30AM on Tuesday, March 21st, with Msgr. Edward Zemanik officiating.

Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Tuesday morning from 9-10:30AM at St. Ambrose Church.

Interment will be held in the Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery in Pottsville.

In lieu of flowers, you can make donations in memory of Mary to the Hillside SPCA, P.O. Box 233 Pottsville, PA 17901.

The Robert A Evans Jr Funeral Home in Port Carbon is in charge of arrangements.
