Two inmates at the Federal Institutional Schuylkill near the Minersville Exit of Interstate 81 were charged for possessing illegal contraband.
The contraband, known as a shank, were found in two separate incidents.
Xavion Lawrence, 22, was indicted by a federal grand jury for an incident on November 13th, 2022, when he was found in possession of a piece of plexiglass sharpened to a point with a cloth handle.Devontay Douglas, 25, was indicted by a federal grand jury for an incident on February 8th, 2023, when he was found in possession of a 6-inch piece of metal sharpened to a point with a cloth handle.
Both could face an additional 5 years of imprisonment on top of their current prison term.
