Rose Kennedy, 91, of Frackville, formerly of Minersville, passed away on Friday afternoon at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, where she has resided for several years.

Born on May 21, 1932, in Minersville, she was the son of the late Paul and Constantina (nee Yannaccone) DiSarro. She was a 1950 graduate of Minersville High School. She worked as a caterer at the former Pottsville Bus Terminal; and enjoyed the privilege of serving a meal to then Senator John F. Kennedy during his 1960 Presidential campaign stop in Pottsville. She was also employed at the Washington Hotel, Minersville, for 26 years. She later worked as a private duty home health care worker before retiring.

She was a member of the former St. Vincent de Paul Church, Minersville and a current member of St. Michael the Archangel R.C. Church, Minersville.

She had been a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, a member and treasurer of the St. Vincent B.V.M. Sodality, a member of St. Casimir’s Rosary Confraternity, St. Clair, a member and president of the Minersville Little League Mothers’ Club, and a member of the Young-at-Heart Club at St. Michael the Archangel Church. She was a longtime volunteer at fundraisers for St. Vincent’s and St. Michael’s; and also volunteered at the St. Patrick Soup Kitchen, Pottsville.

Preceding her in death were her husband of 58 years, Thomas P. Kennedy, in 2010; a son, Paul G. Kennedy, in 2021. She was also predeceased by four siblings, Anthony DiSarro, Herman, DiSarro, Marie Campion, and John DiSarro.

Rose is survived by her remaining son, Edward, Breinigsville; her daughter, Geralyn, wife of Joseph Griffin, Frackville; four grandsons, Paul T. Kennedy, Tyler P. Kennedy, Patrick J. Griffin and Matthew J. Griffin; a great-granddaughter, Kollins Kennedy. Also surviving are three siblings, Lucy Salviola, Hatboro, Ann DiSarro, Minersville, and Joseph DiSarro, Reading; nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Dutcavich Funeral Home, 200 Sunbury Street, Minersville, on Monday, June 5, from 6 PM and on Tuesday from 6 AM until 9:15 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. in St. Michael the Archangel Church, 539 Sunbury Street, Minersville. The family requests memorial contributions to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Michael Church. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

Robert C. Rudisill, Sr.
, 83, of Elizabethville, passed away Friday evening, May 26, 2023, at his home.

Born in Ashland, September 28, 1939, a son of the late Harold and Martha Koch Rudisill.

Bob was a retired machinist from Alvord Polk, Millersburg.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Faye Reinoehl, and a brother, Harold Rudisill.

Surviving are his children, Robert Rudisill Jr., Elizabethville, Debrah Frandano, Mechanicsburg, Todd Rudisill and his wife Stacey, Elizabethville, and Kelly Nealis and her husband Ken, Levittown; eight grandchildren; two step-granddaughters; ten great-grandchildren; one niece and three nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Tower City. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Viewing will be from 10-11 AM.

Barry L. Morgan
, 69, of Hegins, passed away early Friday morning, May 26, 2023, at his home.

Born in Pottsville, July 27, 1953, a son of the late Charles and Betty Carl Morgan.

Barry was a retired coal miner, working for the former Porter Tunnel Coal Mine. He was a survivor of the Porter Tunnel Mine Disaster in 1977.

Barry was an avid outdoorsman who could often be found hunting or sitting on his porch. He will be remembered for his famous chocolate cake with peanut butter icing, his peanut butter fudge, and his soups that he made for various organizations.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Elvin Morgan.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Saltzman Morgan; his daughter, Donna Jones (Roger Adams), Tremont; grandson, Dalton Jones (Brittney), Pine Grove; great granddaughter, Oaklynn Jones; a brother, Leonard Morgan, Hegins; a sister, Doris Morgan, Valley View.

Following Barry's wishes, there will be no formal services.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to Friends of the Tri-Valley Community Pool, 655 Gap Street, Hegins, PA 17938.

Ramona Matalonis, 84, of Taylorsville, Ashland, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2023, surrounded by her family, at her residence. Funeral arrangements will be announced.

Linda Joyce Perkolup
, 75, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Friday, May 26th, at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville. 

Linda was born in Tampa, Florida, on March 16, 1948, a daughter of the late Richard and Ruth Luddington. She was the widow of David Perkolup who died in 2012. 

She was formerly employed as a Housekeeper in several hospitals. 

In addition to her parents, and her husband, David, she was preceded in death by her Brothers, Richard and Michael Luddington, and a Sister, Betty Schmidt. Linda is survived by a daughter, Sarah, wife of Todd Schaeffer, two sons Keith, husband of Lisa Bollow, David, husband of Virginia Bollow Linda is also survived by her grandchildren, Brayden & Jeremy Schaeffer, Gavin Hoffman, Nathan, Jacob, & Morgan Bollow.

All Services are private at the convenience of family.
