Cheryl Ann Roman, 71, of Pottsville, passed away on May 3, 2023.

Cheryl Ann was born in Pottsville, a daughter of the late Frank and June (Reese) Wertz.

She last worked for VanHuesen in Schuylkill Haven, and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Roman in 2002, and is survived by a sister, Sandra Wertz, and an aunt, Peggy Androsko, both of Pottsville.

Cheryl Ann will be laid to rest alongside her husband Frederick at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery during private services.

The Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, Pottsville, is assisting Cheryl Ann's family during this time of need.

Suzanne Mary (Wehr) Strohl was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt. She passed away peacefully at the age of 61 in her home in Coaldale, Pennsylvania surrounded by her loved ones on the morning of Sunday, April 30th, 2023.

Suzanne was born on Monday, November 20th, 1961, in Allentown, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Faust) Wehr. Suzanne was also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Lydia Strohl. Surviving are; husband, Drew Strohl; daughter, Rachel Strohl; sister and brother-in-law, Tracy and Robert Grace; step-children, Michael Strohl and Rebecca Weiss; step-grandchildren, Hannah, Trevor, Noah, Jayden, and Amanda; niece and nephew Alyssa Brockington and Robby Grace.

A graduate of Slatington High School, Suzanne had worked in the textile industry for many years. In later years, Suzanne had worked as a CNA giving love and care to patients at Gracedale nursing home.

Suzanne enjoyed many arts and crafts ranging from diamond painting, ceramics, and painting window catchers with her daughter. She also enjoyed fishing day-trips with her husband and daughter.

Suzanne was an avid animal lover. She enjoyed trips to the Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville, New York. She frequently followed April the giraffe from the park through facebook groups. She enjoyed the companionship of her black labrador, Silas and her four cats, Casey, Alex, Chunk, and Goober.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 9th, 2023, at Blue Mountain Community Church outside of Palmerton (25 Oak St Palmerton, PA 18071). Call hour will be at 11AM followed by the service at noon and a light luncheon following the service.

Camille A. (Roadarmel) Dura, 76, a resident of the Shenandoah Senior Living Community passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill Medical Center East Norwegian Street, Pottsville.

Born in Shenandoah on September 13, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Anne (Boreese) Roadarmel.

She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) having worked in various healthcare facilities in addition to providing private duty care.

Camille lived in various countries around the world learning and experiencing their cultures and customs. She was also an avid reader and always enjoyed a good book.

She was a very active member of the Restoration Fellowship Church, Shenandoah. She always offered her time and talents for all church activities.

Surviving are her children, grandchildren, siblings, a niece and many friends.

Religious services will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023 at 10:30 am at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 South Jardin Street, Shenandoah with Lauren Boorujy, Lay Minister of the Restoration Fellowship Church, Shenandoah officiating. Entombment will follow at 12:15 pm at Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown. A visitation will be held on Monday morning from 9:00 am until 10:30 am at the funeral home.

Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah is in care of the arrangements.

Jeffrey VanBlargan, 39, a former resident of Oneida, currently residing in Port Carbon, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 26, 2023.

Jeffrey was born in Hazleton, on October 20, 1983, a son of the late Wayne and Mary Ann (Shoup) VanBlargan. A full time father of his two children, Jeffrey and Margaret, he was recently employed by Wendy's.

In addition to his children, he is survived by his wife Angel, and by a half brother, Joseph, of Mahanoy City.

A Celebration of Life Service will be announced by his family in the near future. The Stauffer-Brezniik Funeral Home, Ringtown is assisting Jeffery's family during this time of need.

Dolores Gradwell
, 88, of Pottsville passed away April 27th while at Seton Manor.

Born in Pottsville on December 14, 1934, she was the daughter of the late William and Doris Heck.

Dolores worked most of her life for families in the Pottsville area in private home cleaning.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Walter in 1982 along with her son Walter who passed in 2011. She is also preceded in death by her two brothers; William and Edward Heck.

Dolores is survived by her granddaughter Chelsia Keitsock of Pottsville. She is also survived by her great grandson; Logan Keitsock and great grand dog Bella.

A graveside service will be held on Monday at 10:00 A.M. on the grounds of Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. Grabowski Funeral Home is entrusted with the services.
