Robert L. Bressler, Jr.
, 63, of Harrison St., Donaldson, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023, at home.

Born on August 18, 1959 in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Robert L. Sr. and Carol Bell Bressler.

He was a 1977 graduate of Pine Grove Area High School and a Veteran of the Air Force.

Robert last worked as a Security Guard at the Fairlane Village Mall.

He enjoyed fishing.

Preceding him in death was a sister, Brenda Herb.

Surviving are his wife of 21 years, Marian Elison Bressler; three children, Holly and husband Joseph Botek of St. Clair, Harry Jr. and wife Katie Cartwright of Heckscherville, Mark and wife Sara Cartwright of Port Carbon; four grandchildren, Blake and Paige Botek, Zoey and Jacob Cartwright; three brothers, Philip and wife Vicky Bressler of Pine Grove, George Bressler of Donaldson, Jeffrey Bressler of Orwigsburg; a niece Kerri Herb and her boyfriend Jordan Willier of Klingerstown and a nephew Christopher Herb and his wife Sydney Prochazka of Cincinnati, Ohio.

All Services will be held the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa. with Pastor Barry Spatz officiating.

The H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove is in charge of arrangements.

Lee A. Madenford, Sr.
, 65, of Pine Grove, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023, in Pottsville Rehab and Nursing Center.

Born on December 4, 1957 in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Arlin M. and Ruth Spancake Madenford.

He was a graduate of Pine Grove Area High School

Lee was a framer and machine operator at Penn Dye in Pine Grove.

He was a member of the Roedersville Gun Club.

Surviving are a son, Lee Jr. and wife Tracy Madenford; three step grandchildren, Jaylyn, Kai and Torri; a brother, Richard and wife Ana Madenford of Temple; two sisters, Susan and husband David Brown, Deborah and husband Michael Mendinsky, both of Pine Grove; nieces and nephews.

All Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or stjude.org/memorial.

John William Rumpf
, 74, of Oak Grove Rd., Pine Grove, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023, in the Lebanon VA Medical Center.

Born on September 16, 1948 in Pine Grove, he was a son of the late Clarence and Alice Strausser Rumpf.

He was a 1966 graduate of Pine Grove Area High School.

John was a Marine Corp Veteran having served during the Vietnam War.

He worked at Gold Mills and later opened and operated his own Taxidermy Shop, JR's Taxidermy in Pine Grove.

John was a member of the Pine Grove VFW Post 3432, Pine Grove American Legion Post 374 and the Ten Pin Club in Pine Grove.

Preceding him in death were a brother Kenneth "Skip" Rumpf and a sister Janet Rumpf Wolfe Desjardin.

Surviving are two daughters, Kelly Rumpf and companion James Boltz, Becky and husband Bruce Wolff, and their mother Jane Roth, all of Pine Grove; five grandchildren, Austin, Alexa, Abbigail and Ayden Wolff, and Kody Boltz; two great grandchildren, Avery Shuman and Levi Bushold.

Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove with Pastor Brian Beissel officiating. There will be a visitation on Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the Ten Pin Club for Youth Programs, 85 Long Stretch Rd., Pine Grove, Pa. 17963 in his memory. Checks may be made out to the Ten Pin Club and write Youth Programs in the memo line.

Jean V. Wolfe
, 90, of Swopes Valley Rd., Pine Grove, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023, at home.

Born on November 8, 1932 in Joliett, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Hilda Schach Clark.

Jean was a 1950 graduate of Pine Grove High School.

She owned and operated Jean's Ceramics on Swopes Valley Rd. in Pine Grove.

She was a member of the Schuylkill Church of the Brethren.

Preceding her in death were her husband of 50 years, Samuel M. Wolfe, Sr.; a son Samuel M. Wolfe, Jr.; a grandson Bradley Wolfe; and a brother John Clark.

Surviving are two sons, David "Gigger" and wife Wendy Wolfe of Pine Grove, Kenneth and wife JoAnn Wolfe of Schuylkill Haven; a daughter Karen and husband Brian Lengel of Pine Grove; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; her caregiver Beth Wolfe of Pine Grove; two sisters, Phyllis Neal of MD, Brenda Reynolds of VA; a brother David Clark of Canada; two brothers-in-law, David Wolfe and Joseph Wolfe; many nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 10:30 A.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove with Pastor David Aungst officiating. There will be a viewing on Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove.

The family would like to thank Revolutionary Hospice for all their loving care given to Jean, especially Gabrielle, Jennifer, Marlena, Aaron, Jeff, Heather, Dino and Mia.

Rosalind D. "Pixie" Hosler
, of Sunny Drive Mary D, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Friday, May 5, 2023, at home surrounded by her adoring daughters, beloved grandchildren, and siblings, at 66 years of age.

Born Monday, August 20, 1956 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania. the daughter of the late Russell C., and Illomay (McLaughlin) Nelson. Pixie was also predeceased by; husband, Benjamin H. Hosler on March 16, 1997; step daughters, Ruth Hall, Helen D. Hosler; sister, Marilyn D. Nelson.

Surviving are daughters, Jodi R. Denning and her husband Jereme, Shannon M. Nelson and her companion Mario Lozada; step daughter, Debra A. Hosler; brother, Russell C. "Rusty" Nelson and his wife Doris; sisters, Renae B. Ziegler and her companion Ernie Hill, Rochelle B. "Shelly" Lazarchick wife of Sam, Karen I. Lazarchick wife of Bill, Robin J. Krapf wife of Bob; grandchildren, Jason, Aryel, Destini, Jacob; step grandchildren, Joshua, Brandon, Melissa, Jessica, Jennifer. Many nieces and nephews also survive Pixie.

Pixie worked as a home health aide, and tended bar for the former Tiki, and Hot Spot in Tamaqua. A doting mom, and nana, Pixie enjoyed shopping with her girls, playing bingo, and the companionship of her dogs, Lucas, and Rudy.

Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.

Shirley A. Nasados
, 86, of Tower City, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Orwin, June 7, 1936, a daughter of the late Arthur and Hilda Hand Bettinger. She was a 1954 graduate of the former Porter Township High School.

Shirley was a retired seamstress from the former JE Morgan Knitting Mills, Tower City.

She was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ and its Women's Guild.

Shirley was an avid BINGO player. She could often be found watching the Philadelphia Phillies and the Home Shopping Network.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William, 2015, sisters, Fay Jones, Myra Shomper, Alverta Bettinger and Pauline Hand; brothers, Arthur, Barney, and Robert Bettinger.

Surviving are her children, William Nasados, James Nasados and Sharon Batdorf all of Tower CIty and Brian Nasados, Rimersburg. One grandson, Rick Wagner, Jr., and one great granddaughter, Avery Wagner. Nieces and nephews.

Following Shirley's wishes she will be laid to rest privately in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

John Kimmel, 91, of Lavelle, passed away May 7, 2023, at the Bloomsburg Care Center, Bloomsburg. The Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, Ashland, is in charge of arrangements.
