WEATHER ALERT: Schuylkill County Under Flood Watch for Late Monday

 


The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for Schuylkill County for late Monday.
FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of central Pennsylvania, including the following counties, Columbia, Lancaster, Lebanon, Schuylkill and Sullivan.

* WHEN...From 2 PM EDT this afternoon through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of small creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Thunderstorms with locally heavy rain are expected across the watch area this afternoon and this evening. Rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches with localized amounts up to 4 inches are possible. These totals may result in flash flooding.
