A power outage has left over 2,000 homes in the dark in the Ashland, Fountain Springs, and Gordon areas.
Around midnight, homes in downtown Ashland, Fountain Springs, and Gordon lost power. Also around the same time, the fire department was notified of a possible transformer issue in the area of Lucas's Auto Body on Broad Street in Fountain Springs.
PPL says 2,083 homes are impacted by the outage.
Power is expected to be restored by 3:00am if not earlier.
