Clayton E. Walker
, age 88, of Mahanoy City, passed away Sunday night at his home. 

Born in Mahanoy Township he was the son of the late Frank and Elsie (Freeman) Walker. He was a 1952 graduate of JW Cooper High formerly in Shenandoah and served with the United States Marine Corps during the Korean conflict. He had been employed by the former Atlas Powder Company and last worked as a bus driver for the Mahanoy Area School District. He was a member of St. Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City and was a member of the Holy Name Society, Eucharistic Minister and sang in the choir at the former St. Fidelis Church. 

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were four sisters Margaret Walker, Susan Aponik, Edith Lipiec and Shirley Gottshall. Survivors include his wife of 60 years the former Mary Ann Swatsky, a daughter Deborah Ann of Mahanoy City, 2 sons Jeffrey and his companion Donna of Tennessee and Michael and his companion May of Barnesville, a brother Frank and his wife Lillian of New Jersey sisters Ruth Holden of Shenandoah and Grace Schuyler of Drums.

He is also survived by 3 grandchildren Justin (Amy), Steven (Samantha) and Tyler (Emily) and 4 great grandchildren Aubrey, Emma, Ensley and Ella, a sister-in-law Eugenia Golden as well as nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Saturday morning at 10 AM from St. Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City. Interment with military honors will follow at Sky View Memorial Park in Hometown. Friends may call at the church on Saturday morning beginning at 8:30 AM. 

Contributions in his name to the ACTION Youth Group or St. Teresa of Calcutta Church would be appreciated by the family and will be accepted at the visitation.

Rose Marie "Rosie" (Inama) Nawrocki
, 91 years of age, formerly of Mary-D passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 29, 2023, as a guest of Seton Manor Nursing Home in Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania with family at her side, on the anniversary of her husband Edward J. Nawrocki's death on July 29, 1984.

Born Friday, March 25, 1932 in Blackwood Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Giovanni John, and Amelia (Martin) Inama. Rose was also predeceased by; sisters, Catherine Jupin, Amelia Hollywood; brothers, John, Francis, Joseph, Henry, and Albert Inama.

Survived by many nieces, and nephews.

Catholic by faith, Rose had worked in many local Textile Mills. She was a member of Holy Cross R.C.C. of New Philadelphia, and was an active member of the former St. Bartholomew R.C.C. of Brockton as a member of the Altar & Rosary Society of the church. Rosie, also helped to cater event held at the church as a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. A beloved Aunt, Rosie was a terrific cook, and baker. Rosie looked forward to family events, and time spent with friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Holy Cross R.C.C. 99 Valley Street New Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 17959 at 2 o'clock P.M. on Friday August 4, 2023. Friends may call in church from 1 to 2:00 P.M.

Interment will be in St. Bartholomew R.C.C. Cemetery, Brockton, Pennsylvania.

Yvonne L. "Bonnie" Minnich
, 82, of Tower City (Clarks Valley), passed away Tuesday morning, August 1, 2023, at the Northern Dauphin Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Millersburg.

Born in Pottsville, March 28, 1941, a daughter of the late Guy and Theda Mae Campbell Bohner.

Bonnie was a retired seamstress, working in the local garment industry.

She was a member of the St. Peter's Lutheran Church. At the church, she sang for the choir and previously held the position of financial secretary. She was very involved with the annual madrigal dinner.

Bonnie will be remembered for her beautiful singing voice. She was a talented soloist who would perform at weddings. She also had a sweet tooth for chocolate and tasty cakes, and she enjoyed watching movies. Above all, Bonnie's family meant the world to her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John A. "Ted" Minnich, August 15, 2005, and her brother William Bohner.

Surviving are her two daughters, Debra Kandybowski and her husband Jim, and Lori Deiter and her husband Jim, both of Clarks Valley; two grandchildren, James Deiter III and his wife Jamie, and Christine Duey and her companion Andy Showers; four great grandchildren, James R. and his wife Brittany, and Emma, Clark, and Eli; two great grandsons, Levi and Liam; one brother, Guy David Bohner, Hegins; one sister, Sara Underkoffler, Williamstown; nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Monday, August 7, 2023 at 4:00 PM from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home with Pastor William Romberger officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:30-4:00 PM. A luncheon and time of fellowship will follow at Porter Tower Lions Club.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 1931 Wiconisco St., Tower City, PA 17980.
