Paul "Charlie" Samuel Fegley, Sr.
, 86, of Moyers Station Rd., Schuylkill Haven, PA, went to be with The LORD on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at home surrounded by loved ones.

Born on April 1, 1937 in Pine Grove, he was a son of the late Horace and Annie Herring Fegley.

Paul married Gloria Bowen on April 21, 1956 and they celebrated their 67th anniversary this year.

Paul is of the Protestant faith.

He attended Cressona High School. As a boy, he worked on his family's farm, mined coal as a teenager, operated heavy equipment machines, drove truck long distance, and was a fantastic mechanic. Paul could figure out the problem and the solution whether dealing with electrical, plumbing, heating, vehicles, construction, and pretty much anything else. He passed his ability to tinker on to his children and grandchildren. For certain, we always knew that we could call Dad, no matter the problem, and he would always take care of us (usually with a few aiy-yi-yi-yi-yies, some ohNellies, and sometimes a whole lot of jumpins, jumpins, jumpins, jumpins, jumpins!)

Paul has always been a fun-loving jokester, and all of the grandkids and great grandkids love going to Nanny and Pappy's house, where they'd usually find Pappy sitting on the front porch glider enjoying his hummingbirds.

Preceding him in death were an infant daughter, Kelly; grandson David Jr.; infant great grandson, Cory; son-in-law Freddie Moyer; his beloved dog, Squiggles; five brothers, Gene, Joe, Horace, Harold and Ernest Fegley; three sisters, Grace Emerich, Helen Zimmerman, and Mildred Weston.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his beloved family, Virginia Moyer, Paul II (Deb), Tracy Potts (Kenneth), David (Kerry), Robert, and Sandra Hilbert (Dusty); grandchildren, Freddie, Jennifer, Paul III, Michael, Angela, Kenneth, Rebecca, Kelly, Lauren, Emily, Austin, Heather, and Heath; 23 great grandchildren; a sister Freda Bazely; and a very spoiled dog named Foxy.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Noon at St. Mark's (Brown's) Church, 151 Summer Hill Rd. Schuylkill Haven, Pa. 17972 with Rev. Eugene Eckroth officiating. There will be a viewing on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 10:30 A.M. until Noon at the Church. Interment will follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

The H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove is in charge of arrangements.
