Senator Argall, Representative Watro to Host Event Offering Free License Plate Replacements for Residents

MAHANOY CITY - In a bid to assist local residents with damaged or unreadable license plates, Senator Dave Argall (R-29) and Representative Dane Watro (R-116) have announced a community event scheduled for Tuesday, August 22nd.

The event, aimed at providing hassle-free license plate replacements, will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mahanoy Township Municipal Building, at 1010 West Centre Street, Mahanoy City.

"If you think there’s a chance you need a new license plate, stop by this free event and check," urged Senator Argall, underlining the importance of the initiative.

Expressing enthusiasm about the collaboration, Representative Watro remarked, "We are happy to partner with Sen. Argall to provide this free service, which is designed to make quick work of completing the plate-replacement process."

As stipulated by the law, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is obligated to replace license plates without any cost if they are found illegible by law enforcement or a certified inspection mechanic. To ensure the efficiency of the process, a dedicated Mahanoy Township police officer will be available during the event to inspect license plates and provide the requisite authorization.

To participate in this event, residents are required to register in advance. Interested individuals can secure their spot by reaching out to Senator Argall's toll-free number at 877-327-4255.
