Schuylkill County Sponsoring Fall Cleanup

Schuylkill County is gearing up for its annual Fall Cleanup and Recycling Event, set to take place from September 5th, 2023, through September 15th, 2023.

The event, funded by the County Board of Commissioners and the State Department of Environmental Protection, is open to all residents of Schuylkill County.

The cleanup initiative provides an opportunity for residents to dispose of various items such as bulky items, appliances, scrap tires, and scrap metal. However, it's important to note that no electronics will be accepted during this event. Additionally, household hazardous waste items, including paints, solvents, cleaners, and poisons, will not be accepted. Residents with questions regarding the disposal of such items are encouraged to contact the Schuylkill County Office of Solid Waste & Resource Management at (570) 628-1220.

Proof of residency is a requirement for participation in the cleanup event, so residents are advised to have appropriate documentation ready.
