The Pine Grove Girls soccer team is moving onto the next round of the PIAA State Tournament.
On Tuesday evening, the Lady Cardinals travelled to Camp Hill to compete in the first round of the State Playoffs at Siebert Park.
Pine Grove's Ella Fasnacht scored first and it would be the only goal for Pine Grove during regulation. The game would go into 2 overtimes being tied 1-1.This game couldn't end in a tie so the game would have to be decided on Penalty Kicks.
Even after 6 penalty kicks a piece, they would tie at 4 kicks a piece forcing a sudden death situation.
Pine Grove's Myla Fisher would make the final goal for the Cardinals and the win.
Pine Grove now moves onto the Quarterfinals of the State Tournament to play Dock Mennonite on Saturday, November 11th, 2023.
