Henry D. Shemansky, 71, of Frackville, passed away Thursday at Broad Mountain Health and Rehabilitation Center, Frackville.

Born in Ashland he was a son of the late Henry P. and Anna J. Jacko Shemansky. He graduated from North Schuylkill High School and the Ryder Technical Institute with a degree in Electronic Technology.

He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He last served with the 532nd MP Co, Fort Dix, NJ.

Henry enjoyed playing music and was a guitarist for the Happy Stefan Polka Band for many years.

The last of his immediate family, he is survived by several cousins and caretaker Tim O’Leary, Lansford.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Ann R.C. Church, Frackville with Rev. Giuseppe C. Esposito, pastor, as celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation Tuesday morning from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Albert L. Gricoski Funeral Home, Frackville. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Frackville.

John Leipold
, loving husband of 53 years, doting father, beloved Opa, of Lake Hauto, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 83 years of age.

Born Wednesday, September 18, 1940 in Queens, New York, the son of
the late Henry, and Paula (Schneider) Leipold. John was also predeceased by his brother, Charles Leipold.

Survived by his wife, Marilyn (Wolfsturm) Leipold; daughters, Krista A.
Sturgeon and her fiancé Greg Bowling; Anne M. Macrigiane wife of
James; son, John R. Leipold and his wife Angela; grandchildren, Sofia, Matthew, Cali, Grace, and Isaac.

A graduate of Power Memorial Academy in New York City, John served honorably in the United States Army. John had a long tenured career in sales working for Hastings Filters. He enjoyed working and restoring antique cars and served the Lake Hauto community by maintaining the library and serving as a volunteer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John XXIII Parish at 307 Pine Street, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252 on Monday January 29, 2024 at 11 o'clock A.M. Friends will be received from 9:30 A.M. until the time of Mass in the church social hall.

Interment with Military Honors bestowed will be in Sky-View Memorial Park, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.

Belynda A. Kirby
, 74, of Tremont passed away Friday, January 12, 2024 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

Born in Virginia, July 10, 1949, a daughter of the late Tommy Kirby and Myrtle Porter.

Belynda was a deli manager in Southampton, New York.

She could often be found sewing, knitting, and doing crafts. Belynda enjoyed photography and spending time at the Tremont Senior Center. She also volunteered with Meals on Wheels.

Surviving are her three daughters, Lori C., Monica R., and Rebecca P.; eight grandchildren, Kirby, Carter, Cassidy, Jessica, Michael III, Isaac, Zechariah, and Jocelyn; three great grandchildren; one sister.

The Dimon Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. is honored to handle Belynda's private funeral arrangements.
