He then went on to Nativity B.V.M. High School. He was in the first class to go four years graduating in 1959. He enjoyed his time at Nativity, where he served as the Drum Major for the High School Band and also participated in the school plays. He continued his friendship with his classmates attending the reunions and most recently monthly luncheons at the Stadium. After graduation he went to work for Miles Shoe Store in Pottsville and later managed the Triangle Shoe Store. It was then that he met the love of his life, Jean. They spent 61 years of wedded bliss together loving one another, holding hands to the very end.

Jack had a very kind heart and would help everyone that was in need or first to offer them some kindness. He and his wife Jean held a very special place in their hearts for the Tray family. All Jack had to do was ask and they would be there to help.
