PennDOT has reduced the speed limits on Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County due to weather conditions.
As of 11:30pm, Monday, the speed limits on Interstate 81 northbound and southbound between the Interstate 80 interchange and the Interstate 78 interchange have been reduced to 45 miles per hour.
This covers the entire length of Interstate 81 through Schuylkill County.
The updated speed limits have been posted in Schuylkill County on variable speed limit signs. Commercial vehicles are also restricted to the right lane in this area.
