Judith A. Tomb, 78, of Covered Bridge Rd., Pine Grove, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024.

Born on April 21, 1945 in Lincoln, she was a daughter and step daughter of the late Lloyd Moyer and Sarah Yost Dinger and Albert "Pap" Dinger.

She was a graduate of Tremont High School and a member of St. Paul's UCC in Ravine.

Judith was a bartender for the Pine Grove Fish & Game and Pine Grove VFW and was a member of both organizations.

She loved camping.

Preceding her in death were a brother Karl Moyer and a sister Thelma Spittler.

Surviving are her husband of 29 years, Patrick Tomb.

Per Judy's request, there were be no services.

The H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., is in charge of arrangements.

Elizabeth M. Purcell
, 92 of Pottsville, died Thursday at The Gardens at York Terrace Nursing Home, Pottsville.

She was born July 30, 1931, in Cass Township, a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Berick Hollick.

She was a graduate of Cass Township High School and Empire Beauty School.

Elizabeth was a hairdresser all her life and also taught hairstyling at Empire Beauty School and The VoTech, Mar Lin, prior to retiring. She also taught line dancing in her spare time.

She was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville.

She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Steven Moser and George J. Moser, Jr.: 2, brothers Joseph and George Hollick.

Surviving are her husband, Francis "Frank" Purcell; nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11AM from St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10AM until the time of mass. Interment will follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Elizabeth be made to St. Patrick Memorial Fund, 319 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, PA 17901. Arrangements are under the care of James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville.
