Berthamae was a guest of The Summit at Blue Mountain Nursing Home in Lehighton for the last 5 years, but has been a lifelong resident of Summit Hill, Pennsylvania. Berthamae was a beloved wife, mother, doting Nana, and great-grandmother. Her kind and gentle demeanor will be truly missed by all those that had the pleasure of knowing her.

Berthamae is survived by her sons; Todd A. Konstas of Summit Hill, Brad P. Konstas of Lehighton and daughter-in-law Donna Konstas of Lansford; grandchildren, Zachary Konstas of Colorado Springs, CO, Aja (Matthew) Knouse of Hummelstown, PA, Dakota (Austin) Eaton of Toledo, IL, and Jason Shemansik; great-grandchildren, Ella, Waylon, Greyson, Wells, and Noah. Berthamae was born Monday, September 24,1928 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania. She was the Valedictorian of the 1946 graduating class of the former Summit Hill High School, she then matriculated to Thomas Jefferson University School of Nursing in Philadelphia earning her certification in Laboratory Science. Prior to raising her three boys, Berthamae worked as a laboratory technician, and then as a preschool aid at the Presbyterian Church Preschool in Summit Hill for many years. A devoted 70 plus year member of the Summit Hill United Methodist Church, Berthamae belonged to the Faith Circle, sang in the senior choir and held many other offices over her years of service. She also served as President in the United Methodist Women's group for 27 years, and treasurer for 5. In her free time, Berthamae enjoyed reading, gardening and staying on top of the latest fashion trend. Berthamae's late husband Angie was a Hall of Fame football and wrestling coach at various high schools in the area for many years. His success as a coach was fostering a sense of family amongst his athletes and his secret to that success was Berthamae's ability to embrace these young men as part of her family.
