Steven L. Wargo
, 75, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away Tuesday, April 9th, at the home of his daughter Trisha.

Steven was born in Williamsport, PA on October 14, 1948, a son of the late Anna (Kruhelsky) and Andrew Wargo.

He graduated from Mahanoy Area High School Class of 1968.

He was a member of Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish Mahanoy City, PA.

He worked for and after 50 years, retired from Omniva in Auburn, formerly Reneer Films. He then opened his own business, Steve’s Landscaping and Tree Trimming.

Steve was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He enjoyed hunting and watching football and was a member of the Mahanoy City Social and Athletic Club.

He was the husband of the late Linda Wargo who passed away in 2013.

Steven is survived by two daughters, Tonya Wargo, of Weston Place; Trisha, wife of Elmer Davidson, of Mahanoy City; two sons Steven, husband of Kim Wargo, of Brandonville; Joshua Wargo, of Brandonville; two sisters, Julia Dee, of Yonkers NY; Regina Phillips, of Nipomo Ca. two brothers, Monsignor Robert Wargo, of Laporte; Richard Wargo, of Weston Place, and his companion, Cindy Knouse of Richfield.

He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren Michael, Emily, Erin, Steven, Allison, Kolton, Slayden, Kensi, Harper and Jonathan, and 2 Great Grandchildren, Raegan and Adalynn. Nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by a sister, Anne Kawa and brothers Daniel, Andrew, John, Michael.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Mahanoy City, PA, at 11 AM on Saturday, April 13th, with Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher and Monsignor Robert Wargo officiating.

Friends and family may call Friday 6 to 8 PM and Saturday 9AM at the Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. Mahanoy City.

Interment will be in St. Canicus Cemetery Mahanoy City.

James Allen Davis
, 62, of St. Clair, formerly of Schuylkill Haven, died Thursday March 28, 2024, at his home

Born in Pottsville, November 1, 1961, He was a son of the late Edward Davis and Emilie (Martin) Davis

He attended Schuylkill Haven Schools and worked the former United Metal, Pottsville and Spec-Tec St. Clair.

James was a member of St. Clair Fish & Game Association and enjoyed shooting pool.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Cynthia (Ughes) Davis in 2023; brother Edward H. Davis Jr.

Surviving are 2 daughters Kayla Shaup of Minersville and daughter Jenna Cescon of Orwigsburg; step-son Dennis Verbosh of Pottsville, brother Michael Davis and his wife Helen of Mahanoy City; 5 Grandchildren; Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday April 13, 2024 from Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 North Second Street St. Clair, PA 17970. Stephen M. Raddie
, age 67, of Cameron, WV passed away on May 5, 2023 in Morgantown, WV.

Steve was born on June 16, 1955 in Hempstead, NY, a son of the late Andrew and Phyllis Helene (Mernagh) Raddie.

He worked as a union master electrician and retired from IBEW Local 26 in Washington, DC and he was a member of the American Legion Post 18 and Moose Lodge in Cameron, WV.

Steve was preceded in death by his wife, De (2021) and son, Justin P. Raddie (2011).

Surviving are his children, Stephen of Leesburg, VA, Matthew of Tucson, AZ, Stephanie Glandon (Micah) of Killeen, TX and Jesse of Clarksville, TN, along with 6 grandchildren . His sister, Beth Pena of Crownsville, MD and his brother, Andrew of Las Vegas, NV also survive.

Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service honoring both he and his father, Andrew, at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights, PA on Thursday, April 18th, 2024 at 12:30 PM.

Local arrangements have been entrusted to the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home.

John R. Wesner, Sr.
, 84, of McAdoo, passed away Monday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Frackville, he was the son of the late Lester and Kathryn (Robins) Wesner.

John was a member of Christ Reformed United Church of Christ, McAdoo, and served in the U.S. Army National Guard.

Prior to retiring, he was the proprietor of G&W Excavating, for over 40 years.

John had a special talent for running heavy equipment, he was one of the best. He always had a passion for playing cards. His biggest passion though, was spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

When his children were young, he was active with the McAdoo Little League and McAdoo Girls Softball League for many years.

Preceding him in death were his son, John R. Wesner, Jr; daughter, Ashlee Wesner; sister, Ethel Ring; and brothers, Albert, Lester Jr., William, and Robert Wesner.

Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Nancy (Gallagher-Pohida) Wesner; sons Michael Wesner and wife Rhonda, of Calif; and Robert Wesner and wife Jennifer, of McAdoo; daughter-in-law, Judy Wesner, of Hazleton; grandchildren Keith Mhley, Blake Wesner, Mercedes Wesner, McKenzie Wesner, Marissa Wesner, and Jayden Hornick; great-grandchildren Kiersy and Avalyn; and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Monday, April 15, at 10 a.m. in Christ Reformed UCC, McAdoo. Pastor Glenn C. Limbaugh will officiate.

Patricia L. Wolfe
, 67, of Mifflin St., Pine Grove, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024 at home.

Born on August 21, 1956 in Pottsville, she was a daughter of Helen Piano Swartzlander of Pine Grove and the late Jonas Swartzlander.

She was a graduate of Pine Grove Area High School.

Patricia worked for Ingram Micro in Jonestown.

She enjoyed going to auctions and yard sales and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her longtime companion of 26 years, David Anspach, Sr. and a sister Janet Lemmon.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, are a daughter, Pamela Wolfe and her companion David Bainbridge; a son, Jeffrey Wolfe, all of Pine Grove; her honorary son David Anspach, Jr. of Tremont; her honorary daughter, Heather and husband Michael Bellows of Elizabethtown; 10 grandchildren, Rachel and husband Cody Page, Kimberly Tow, Aidon Kemfort, Riley Cillo, Micah and Brooklynn Brown, Braden and Hailey Bellows, Dan and Deeadra Gray; great grandchildren, Remington Cooper, Margaret and Alexzavier Page, Kaylee, Dylan, Novaleigh and Ricky; two brothers, Jonas and Mike Swartzlander; four sisters, Theresa Schlegel, Lori Fick, Angie Olah and Helen Seidel; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 11:30 A.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove, with Pastor Bob Kensinger officiating. There will be a viewing on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in St. Paul's Reformed Cemetery, Ravine.

Nicole M. Staehle
, daughter, wife, mother, sister, cousin, 45 years of age of Coaldale, Pennsylvania passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 8, 2024, at home.

Born Thursday, September 28, 1978 in Lehighton, Pennsylvania, she is survived by her beloved family; mother, Georgine "Jean" (Sweeney) Jungbaer and her husband Pete; father, Francis Boyle Sr. and his wife Marleen; husband of 7 years, Andrew F. Staehle; son, Logan P. Porambo; brothers, Matthew Jungbaer companion Abby Hoban and Francis Boyle, Jr. Nicole has many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A 1997 graduate of Panther Valley High School, Nicole worked at St. Luke's Miners Memorial Medical Ctr in Coaldale for 12 years. Nicole was a "Home- Buddy" so very proud of her home, vacuuming, cleaning, and tending to her son Logan whom she adored; however, she was aware of all the happening's in Coaldale.

Caroline McDowell
, 70, of Centre Street, Ashland passed away peacefully April 8, 2024 at Shenandoah Manor Nursing Home, Shenandoah. Born in Hazleton, Pennsylvania on July 14, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Catherine and Joseph Gabos. She was a graduate of West Hazleton Area High School, class of 1972. She was employed by Zayres, Ames and as an elder caregiver. She later dedicated her life to being a homemaker after the birth of her son. She was a lover of animals, especially dogs. She was a kind, gentle, selfless and caring woman who was loved by everyone she encountered.

Proceeding her in death are her husband, Robert C. McDowell, parents, Catherine Damien and Joseph Gabos, a brother, Calvin Gabos and sister Mary Politis.

She is survived by her son, Robert L. McDowell, daughter in law, Leeann Brennan, grandchild, Logan Brennan, stepgrandchildren, Loralie and Jordan Brennan. Sister-in-law, Shirley Gabos, nieces, Kristin Astleford, Jill Cann, Renee Phile, nephew, Calvin Gabos and many cousins and friends.
