Hegins Valley Fire-Rescue is set to host their 52nd Annual Carnival.
Held at Hegins Park from June 4th through June 7th, the four-day event promises an exciting lineup of live entertainment, mouthwatering food, thrilling rides, and community celebration.
The carnival gates open daily at 5:00 PM, with festivities lighting up the park each night.
A highlight of the week is Parade Night, taking place Thursday, June 5th at 7:00 PM. Organizers are encouraging everyone — from local businesses and community groups to fun-loving individuals — to participate. No registration is needed. Simply bring your float, fire truck, marching band, classic car, or humorous skit to the parade staging area on Industrial Road and Farm Lane between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
Cash prizes will be awarded in several categories, including Best Fire Apparatus, Best Float, and Best Band. Creativity and community spirit are encouraged — the more unique, the better!
Live Entertainment Every Night
Each evening features live music, including two fan-favorite “Mug Nights” where commemorative mugs get you $1 drink refills all night:
Don’t forget to try your luck at the ever-popular Cake Wheel, running nightly with prizes of homemade baked goods. Bakers are encouraged to donate their creations — baked goods can be dropped off daily at noon at the park.
A Feast of Fair Favorites
No carnival is complete without great food, and Hegins delivers. Guests can enjoy:
HVFR is a fully volunteer department that responds to a wide range of emergencies, from structure fires and vehicle accidents to search and rescues and storm damage. Firefighters also assist EMS, coordinate air medical landings, and manage traffic during emergencies. Off the front lines, members conduct fire prevention programs, organize mock DUI demonstrations, and manage essential administrative tasks.
Running such a broad-reaching operation is only possible through fundraising efforts like this annual carnival.
