Kathleen M. Edwards, 73, of St. Clair, passed away Friday, August 22nd at her son’s residence.

Born in Pottsville on April 9, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Hilda (Pales) Miller and Raymond Honicker II.

Kathleen was the wife of the late George R. Edwards who passed away in 1989.

After attending Schuylkill Haven High School, Kathleen was employed at multiple factories throughout her life.

She was happiest when she was with family, especially when attending her grandsons' sporting events.

Kathleen is survived by four children: Michael Honicker, husband of Susan, of Auburn; Ray Honicker, husband of Jenn, of St. Clair; Teena, wife of Tim Curnow, of York; and Jen Edwards, fiancee of Joel Gavaletz, of Pottsville. She is also survived by grandchildren: Bryce & Aceton Curnow, Wade Palamar; a brother, Kent Miller, of Elkton, MD; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Kathleen is preceded in death by a sister, Teena Fox.

A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, September 3rd at Ebling Stabingas Funeral Home in Cressona with Pastor Jonathan Heim officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the beginning of the service.

Interment will follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

The family prefers remembrances in the form of contributions to Hillside SPCA, P.O. Box 233 Pottsville, PA 17901.

Brian E. Faust
, 45, of Fairmont, NC passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 22nd.

Brian was born in Pottsville on October 19, 1979, a son of Kathy (Schell) Faust, of Port Carbon, and the late Robert L. Faust.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville.

He had earned a degree in Criminal Justice from McCann School of Business & Technology and was employed as a truck driver.

In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his daughter, Krista Faust, of Orwigsburg; son, Bryce Faust, of Minersville; brother, Robert Faust, husband of Shannon, of Port Carbon; sister, Renee Faust, of Ringtown; soulmate, Lynann Richardson, of Schuylkill Haven; dogs, Timmy, & Snow; and cat, Tiger. He is also survived by his nephew, Mitchell; nieces, Brianna, Brittany, Brandi, Kelsey; great nephew, Levi; and great nieces, Emerson, Elliana, and Grace.

In addition to his father, Brian is preceded in death by his stepson, Justin Richardson who passed away in March of 2025.

Private services will be held at the family’s convenience.

The family prefers remembrances in the form of contributions in Brian’s memory to Ruth Steinert SPCA, PO Box 332, Schuylkill Haven PA 17972.

Barbara E. Donmoyer
, 96, of Pine Grove, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025 in Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.

Born on July 14, 1929 in Silverton, PA, she was a daughter of the late David and Catherine Kiefer Houser.

She was a 1947 graduate of Minersville High School.

Barbara worked as a Custodial Technician for the Pine Grove Area School District.

She was a member of the Most Blessed Trinity Parish, Tremont. She did volunteer work in the church as well as in her community and was also a member of the Pine Grove Children's Aid. She enjoyed collecting angels and was formerly on the bowling league.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Carl W. Donmoyer and a son Carl D. Donmoyer.

Surviving are a grandson, Christopher and wife Tiffany Donmoyer of Lebanon; two grandsons, Xavier and Cannon Donmoyer; nieces and nephews, including her loving niece, Jacqueline Mozloom. Barbara also had a brother, Raymond Houser and two sisters, Jean Villanueva and Joan Carl.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 from 9:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Schuylkill Memorial Park Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to either the Most Blessed Trinity Parish, 113 Cherry St., Tremont, Pa. 17981, or the Pine Grove Children's Aid, c/o Charlie Zimmerman, 11 Sparrow Lane, Pine Grove, Pa. 17963 in her memory.

Howard E. Jones, Jr.
58, of Mahanoy Plane, died Monday August 18, 2025 peacefully at his home

Born in Pottsville, February 18, 1967, He was a son of Shirley (Moyle) Lodato and Stepson of Larry Lodato both of Gilberto

He worked as a laborer for Kovach Equipment, Gould’s Pumps, Lowes and

Howard was a former member of the Gilberton Fire Co.

In addition to his parents, surviving are his wife Georgette (Clews) Jones; 2 daughters Deborah Rushanan and her husband Devin of St. Clair; Beatrice Jones of Shenandoah Heights; 3 step daughters Tawny Matz and her husband Connor of Elysburg; Madison Milewski of Lancaster; Emily Milewski of Ashland; brother Ronald Jones of Schuylkill Haven; sister Lois Lodato of Mahanoy City; Grandchildren Chase Rushanan, Noah Rushanan, Kayleigh Schuck, Bernie Schuck, Scarlett Schuck; Nieces, Nephews and Canine companion Bouchee.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Nice-Hart Funeral Home Inc. 9 N. Lehigh Ave. Frackville, PA 17931 to defray funeral costs.

Stanley D. Petchulis
, 90 of Mar Lin, passed away peacefully Sunday August 24, 2025 at home surrounded by his family.

Born in Mar Lin on August 2, 1935, he was a son of the late Stanislaus and Ella (Komorosky) Petchulis.

A graduate of Pottsville High School, he served 6 years in the US Army. Belonging to the 82nd Airborne while stationed at Fort Bragg, NC.

Stanley married his wife, June (Romain) Petchulis, on June 18, 1961, celebrating 64 years of marriage this summer. Together they owned and operated Mar Lin Markets.

He was a member of Blue Mountain K Lions Club, Mar Lin American Legion, Director of Union Saving & Loan Minersville, multiple Investment Clubs, Norwegian Township Supervisor, also a member of SS Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic church Mount Carmel, former member of St. Francis of Assisi RCC Minersville, and regularly attended Holy Savior RCC Ocean City, MD. Stanley had a deep love for baseball, from collecting cards to attending and watching games. He especially enjoyed talking about old ball players, like his favorite Ted Williams. If he wasn’t tending to his devotion and passion of butchering, you would catch him joking with grandchildren, enjoying the morning paper with a black coffee and lottery ticket or watching boats pass by his Ocean City, Maryland bay window.
Stanley is survived by his wife June (Romain) Petchulis, 7 children, 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Ian Albert Petchulis and fiancé Kristen Kufrovich, son Jordan; Stacey Petchulis Bosack and Husband Thomas, daughter Hannah and sons David, Max and Ethen George; Stephen Petchulis and wife Dorothy, son Dane; Michael Miller and wife Stephanie, daughter Marissa (husband Steve) and sons Michael (wife Kaitlyn) and Myles Miller; Stanley Petchulis III and wife Terri, daughter Sarah and son Stanley Petchulis IV (wife Liz Killian Petchulis), Marcella and husband Ralph, daughter Paige and son Isaac Thomas; Bradley Petchulis and wife Cindy, sons Bradley Jr. and Edward Petchulis; great grandchildren Stella, Reid, Olenna, Macie and Maeve.

Kenneth J "Jimmy" Fetterolf
, age 86, of Rebuck, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at his residence.

He was born on Sunday, August 28, 1938, in Erdman, a son of the late Kenneth O Fetterolf and the late Pauline M (Kessler) Fetterolf.

He was a 1957 graduate of Tri-Valley High School.

Kenneth "Dutch" retired from Conagra the former Chef Boyardee, Milton.

He was a member of Fiddler's Run Sportsmen Club and the NRA.

Kenneth was an avid hunter, fisherman, and camper.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by a great granddaughter, Carman.

He is survived by his wife Alma M (Wiest) Fetterolf, to whom he was married for 68 years.

He is also survived by two sons, Ricci J Fetterolf of Pitman and Phillip T Fetterolf of Taylorsville; three daughters, Kathy M (Robert) Malone of Catawba, NC, Tammy A (companion Joe ) Hatcher of Lingelstown, and Susan M (Chuck) Krall of Palmetto, FL; fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Rough and Ready..

Memorial contributions can be made to Fiddler's Run Sportsmen Club, 1548 Tioga St, Coal Township PA 17866.

Mary Schock
, 68, of West Penn Township, died on Saturday, August 23, 2025, in Coaldale. She was the beloved wife of William Schock, with whom she would have celebrated 42 years of marriage on August 27. 

Born in Coaldale, Mary was a daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Skeersa) Rudner. She was a 1975 graduate of Panther Valley High School and was employed by Redco Group Home in Summit Hill where she worked as a home health care aide. Mary was a devoted member of St. John XXIII Parish in Tamaqua. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she had the kindest heart and was known for always putting the needs of others before her own. She enjoyed bowling and was an active member of both the Tuesday No Tap League and the Senior League. Mary’s warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for her family and community will be dearly missed by all who knew her. 

She is survived by her husband, William; two daughters, Jamie Swatt of Lehighton and Heather Aderhold and her husband Jonathan of Port Carbon; one son, Jeremy Schock of Pottsville; three grandchildren, Joshua Swatt, Hayley Hartung, and Kyra Weinert; one niece; and one nephew. 

She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Helen; two brothers, Francis Rudner and Thomas Rudner; and one sister, Theresa Parkhurst. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, August 30, 2025, in St. John XXIII Catholic Church, 307 Pine Street, Tamaqua. 

Interment in Zion Stone Church Cemetery, New Ringgold will follow. Call Friday, 6-8 PM and Saturday, 9:30-10:30 AM at Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home, 500 East Broad Street, Tamaqua. Memorial donations in Mary’s name may be made to the church or to The American Heart Association at heart.org.

Arrangements are being handled by the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Tamaqua.

William M. Gavalis
, 64, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Thursday, August 21st, at Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital, Orwigsburg.

Willie was born in Pottsville on February 14, 1961, a son of the late Joanna (Schultz) Colihan.

Willie was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by four siblings: Michael Dissinger, husband of Melissa, Patricia Foltin, partner of Joe Schoffstall, Robert Gavalis, & Joseph Gavalis, all of Schuylkill Haven, nieces & nephews: Tyler, Ashley, Lauren, & Hunter Dissinger, Stephen & Matthew Foltin, Chad, Brad, & Kyle Gavalis, and several great-nieces & great-nephews.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.

Theodore G. Starinsky, 70, of Pottsville, passed away Saturday, July 19th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill, E. Norwegian St. 

Born in Pottsville on January 21, 1955, he was the son of the late Julia (Butcavage) and Theodore Starinsky. He was the husband of Barbara (Brobst) Starinsky. Bud enjoyed camping, fishing, riding motorcycles, and playing guitar. In addition to his wife, Theodore is survived by four children, Tanya, widow of Eric Shaud, of Pottsville; Jessica, wife of Sean McDonald, of Seltzer; Mark Starinsky, husband of Yesi, of Palmetto Bay, FL; and Astra, wife of Rick Marx, of Auburn. He is also survived by grandchildren: Zachary and Madeline Shaud, Erin McDonald, Luna and Mila Starinsky, and Cooper & Ayla Marx. 

In addition to his parents, Theodore is preceded in death by a brother, Robert Starinsky and a granddaughter, Emma Marx. 

Per his wishes, a private gathering will take place at the family’s convenience.
