Schuylkill County Sets Dates for 2025 Fall Cleanup and Recycling Program


Schuylkill County - The Schuylkill County Commissioners, in cooperation with local municipalities and businesses, will sponsor the 2025 Fall Cleanup and Recycling Program this September. The event will provide county residents with an opportunity to properly dispose of scrap tires, appliances, scrap metal, and bulky household items.

Electronics will not be collected this year. Proof of county residency is required at all drop-off locations.

Items Accepted & Fees

  • Tires – Automobile, light truck, and motorcycle/RV tires only. $2.00 per tire. Limit 20 tires per load, maximum two loads per customer.

  • Appliances – Freon-bearing appliances (air conditioners, refrigerators, dehumidifiers): $10 each. Non-Freon appliances (stoves, washers, dryers, water heaters, etc.): No charge.

  • Bulky Items – Mattresses, box springs, carpet rolls, doors, windows: $10 each. Sofas/chairs: $5 per cushion.

  • Scrap Metal – No charge.

  • Not Accepted – Electronics and household hazardous waste (paints, solvents, cleaners, poisons).

This program is funded by the Schuylkill County Board of Commissioners and the PA Department of Environmental Protection.
