St. Clair Woman Jailed on $150K Bail After Drug Investigation



ST. CLAIR - A St. Clair woman is facing multiple felony charges after police executed a search warrant that uncovered a large quantity of narcotics, packaging materials, and a firearm.

According to the Saint Clair Police Department, officers served the warrant on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at the residence of Carol Evitts-Schaeffer, 59, of 315 South Mill Street. The search was part of an ongoing investigation into narcotics distribution in the borough.

During the search, investigators recovered methamphetamine, psilocybin, fentanyl, and heroin. Police said the drugs were already packaged for distribution. Officers also seized digital scales, hypodermic needles, and packaging materials commonly used in the sale of controlled substances.

In addition to the narcotics, police located a 9mm firearm with ammunition. Authorities noted that Evitts-Schaeffer is prohibited from possessing a firearm due to prior convictions.

Evitts-Schaeffer was taken into custody and arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Plachko on charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of prohibited offensive weapons. She was remanded to Schuylkill County Prison in lieu of $150,000 cash bail.
