It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert "Bob" Hollenbach, who left us peacefully on September 10, 2025, at the age of 62, surrounded by loved ones.

Born in Shenandoah, PA on November 07, 1962, he was the son of the late Edward and his surviving mother Susan Hollenbach.

Bob was known for his “quick to lend a hand” personality, sharp wit, and generous spirit. He dedicated his life to his family and friends. His hard work touched the lives of many. Whether he was assisting friends and campground attendees of Ideal Park, running events to support local youth such as The Annual Rubber Duck Race, Fishing Rodeos, coaching his son’s sports teams, tending his pepper garden, baking Christmas cookies, making boilo, salmon fishing in Pulaski, NY, taking care of his “grand-pets” or sharing stories over breakfast and coffee, Bob brought warmth and laughter wherever he went.

Bob was a devoted father, husband, brother, son and friend, and his family was the cornerstone of his life. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 42 years Carol Hollenbach, his son Robert Hollenbach with his wife Abi of Lemoyne, his daughter Kimberlyann Groody with her husband Damien of Harrisburg, his brother Chuck Hollenbach of Girardville, 3 sisters- Diane Belafontane of Mt. Carmel, Suzanne Hollenbach Clews with her husband Jack of Ashland, and Danielle Zamudio of Tri Valley, along with nieces and nephews…..all who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by 1 brother- Edward Hollenbach and 1 sister- Carol Hollenbach.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Monday, September 15th at the Oravitz Home for Funerals, 40 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah, with visitation being held from 9 to 11am and services to begin at 11am. Burial will immediately follow in the Annunciation BVM Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. Friends and family are invited to gather, share memories, and honor the remarkable man he was.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Wreaths Across America, an organization that Bob actively supported.

Bob’s legacy lives on in the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the memories we all hold dear. He will be deeply missed.
