The 2nd Annual Tamaqua Car Show will take place this Sunday, September 21, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on South Railroad Street in Tamaqua.
The event is sponsored by the Tamaqua Historical Society and the Jukebox Cruisers Car Club.
Last year’s car show drew about 90 vehicles. This year, organizers expect a strong turnout once again. Antique and classic vehicles of all types are welcome. There are no registration fees and no preregistration required. The first 50 vehicles to arrive will receive a commemorative dash plaque.
Three People’s Choice Awards will be presented at 3 p.m. Music will be provided by the Jukebox Cruisers, and a food vendor will be on site. Portable toilets will also be available.
Vehicles may enter South Railroad Street from Spruce Street at the south end or from West Broad Street at the north end. Tink’s Antiques, located near the show, will also be open during the event.
