Snow, Sleet, and Ice: Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Schuylkill County

 

A winter storm watch issued for Schuylkill County from Friday into Saturday has been downgraded to a Winter Weather Advisory.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM NOON FRIDAY TO 7 AM EST SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet accumulations up to two inches and ice accumulations up to two tenths of an inch.

* WHERE...This alert covers the following Pennsylvania counties

* WHEN...From noon Friday to 7 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning and evening commutes.

Storm Details  

Precipitation is expected to begin in Schuylkill County around 3pm on Friday as light snow and will transition to a wintry mix by 5pm.  A mix of snow, sleet, and rain will fall until around midnight early Saturday and the storm will end as freezing rain around 1am to 3am.
