Winter Storm Expected Tuesday: NWS Forecasts 3–6 Inches of Snow Across Schuylkill County


Schuylkill County is preparing for a winter storm expected to move through the region on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
Forecasters are calling for 3 to 6 inches of snow across the county, with lower totals expected in the southwestern end and higher amounts likely in the northeastern portion of Schuylkill County.

Snow is expected to begin overnight Monday into early Tuesday, arriving around 5:00 a.m. and continuing until approximately 2:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. The heaviest snowfall is anticipated after daybreak and before noon, which could impact the morning commute.

Drivers are urged to use caution, allow extra travel time, and be prepared for changing and slick road conditions as plow crews work to clear area roadways.
