The 20th Annual Groundhog Day Celebration will take place Monday, February 2, 2026, at the Sweet Arrow Lake County Park Clubhouse, located at 108 Clubhouse Road in Pine Grove. Grover is scheduled to emerge from his burrow at 9:00 a.m. to deliver his much-anticipated forecast on whether winter will linger or an early spring is on the way.
The morning will feature family-friendly entertainment and activities for all ages. Local performer Matthew Dodd will present Groundhog Day stories, songs, and a look at the history behind the holiday. His performance is being supported by a grant from the Schuylkill Area Community Foundation.
Guests will also have a chance to take part in the “Groundhog” Auction, which includes a variety of unique and fun items.
The celebration is free and open to the public, making it an easy and festive way for families to celebrate the quirky holiday together.
For those who want to start their morning with a warm meal, breakfast will be served beginning at 7:30 a.m. Prices are $8 for adults and $5 for children under 12, payable at the door on a first-come, first-served basis.
