Josephine P. “Jody” Gaughan
, 65, of Pine Grove, passed away suddenly, Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at her home.

Born in Ashland, on October 23, 1960, a daughter of the late Thomas and Josephine Bonner Gaughan. She was a graduate of Cardinal Brennan High School. She then went onto nursing school where she received her Bachelor's degree in nursing. Jody was a longtime registered nurse with Pinnacle Health. She retired from Select Medical.

She had a very strong Catholic faith.

Jody enjoyed the simple things in life like listening to music and taking walks.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Thomas Gaughan.

Surviving are her brother, Daniel P. Gaughan; a niece, a nephew, great nieces and nephews, and cousins

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 11:00 AM from Most Blessed Trinity Parish, Tremont. A viewing will be from 10:30-11 at the church. Jody will be laid to rest in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Ashland

The Dimon Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Tower City has been entrusted with Jody's funeral arrangements.


Thomas M. Sullivan, 78, of Frackville passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, January 3rd surrounded by his loving wife and children.

Funeral services will be announced by the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home Inc., Frackville.


Angeline “Gina” Stefanisko
, 87, of Kline Twp., passed away Thursday morning at St. Luke’s Hospital, Coaldale.

Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Neil and Jennie (Billett) Melfy, and of the Roman Catholic faith.

Prior to retiring, she was employed at Gertrude Hawk Candy of Hazleton.

Angeline was gifted at sewing and enjoyed crafting and trips to the casino with her family.

Preceding her in death, were husband, Norman Stefanisko; daughter, Karen Stefanisko; son, Neil Stefanisko; and son-in-law, Matthew Skotek.

Surviving are her daughter, Sharon Skotek of McAdoo; daughter-in-law, Shannon Stefanisko of Gordon; grandchildren, Matthew Skotek Jr., John Skotek, Luke Stefanisko and Jacob Shearn; great-grandchild, Haisley Shearn; and several nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

The Damiano Funeral Home Inc., McAdoo, is assisting the family.
