Two homes were damaged by fire early Saturday morning in Schuylkill County.
At 12:50am, emergency personnel were dispatched to 285 Main Street in the village of Joliett, Porter Township, near Tower City for a house fire.
Early reports stated a dryer caught fire and spread quickly.
As emergency personnel responded, a working fire was advised and it was quickly upgraded to a second alarm and a tanker task force was dispatched.
Fire personnel from Schuylkill and Dauphin Counties responded to the scene.
The fire would be marked under control just after 2:00am.
A total of 2 houses were damaged in the fire and seven adults are displaced.
The American Red Cross was called to assist.
