Catherine V. Kern Almonti, 62, of Tamaqua, PA, passed away on February 21, 2026, at St. Luke's Hospital Leighton after a lengthy illness. Born on September 24, 1963, in Mahanoy City, PA, she was the beloved daughter of the late Harold and Patricia Kern. Catherine was a proud graduate of Mahanoy Area, Class of 1981.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Thomas "Tutti" Almonti of Allentown, and her cherished children, Matthew Kern, Christina Yodis, Shauna, Kaylee, and Grace Almonti. She also leaves behind her stepsons, Luke and Carmen Almonti, and her adored grandchildren, Damani, Simon, and Damaris, all of whom she loved dearly.
Catherine is also survived by her siblings, Harold "Chip" Kern, Patricia Holman and her husband Frederick, Daniel Kern and his wife Vanessa, and Colleen Rhoades and her husband James. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In accordance with her family's wishes, interment will be private.

Born on November 7, 1927, to Robert and Dorothy Hess Stevenson, Marcie lived a life marked by unwavering faith, gentle strength, and deep love for her family and friends. A devoted follower of Jesus, she carried her Bible — worn and well-loved —and shared God’s grace through kindness, prayer, and encouragement to all who knew her.
She married the love of her life, Earl Thomas, and together they built a home filled with laughter, faith, and steadfast devotion. Their marriage of 54 years was a beautiful testimony of commitment and love. She was a devoted mother to nine children, a cherished Grammom to eleven grandchildren, and a proud Great-Grammom to nine great-grandchildren. Her family was her greatest earthly joy.
Marcie was a faithful member of New Life Ministries for 35 years. She found great joy in worship, fellowship, and sharing her testimony of God’s goodness. Her faith was not only spoken—it was lived daily in her patience, generosity, and forgiving spirit.
She had a gift for making others feel welcome. Whether through a warm meal, a handwritten note, a gentle hug, or a whispered prayer, she reflected Christ’s love in simple, powerful ways. Her home was a place of comfort, wisdom, and unconditional love.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Thomas, daughter, Judith G. Thomas, and grandson, Nicholas A. Zawada.
She is survived by her children, Marcelline G. Bair, Janet M. Bradley, Scott E. Thomas, Kimberly A. Kishonis, Lorrie B. Hemerly, Lynn S. Bowen, Earl J. Thomas, Tara A. Seladones, grandchildren, Christopher D. Herring, Danielle Major, Caitlyn A. Delaney, Michael T. Bowen, Megan L. Bowen, Elaine J. Myers, Tessa A. Remaley, Jacob E. Zawada, and Daniel J. Thomas and great-grandchildren, Cody J. Ankenbrant, McKenzie E. Hillegass, Gabriel A. Hillegass, Bennett G. Remaley, Everett T. Myers, Rowan A. Myers, Oliver S. Myers and Colsen D. T. Remaley.
Though our hearts feel the ache of her absence, we rejoice knowing she is now in the presence of her Savior, hearing the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Her legacy of faith, love, and grace will continue to shine through the generations she so dearly cherished.

A celebration of life will be held 11AM, Friday, February 27, 2026, at New Life Ministries UPC, Schuylkill Haven. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 9AM until the time of services at the church. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Pottsville. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Marcelline be made to New Life Ministries UPC, PO Box 673, Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.

Debra Ann Dimitri, age 67, of Port Carbon, PA passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, February 24th, 2026 at her home.Born in Pottsville, PA on November 15, 1958, she was the daughter of the late James and Esther (Boris) Johnston.
Debra was a graduate of Nativity B.V.M. High School, Class of 1976. She last worked MandQ Packaging in Schuylkill Haven. Debra was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, St. Clair and loved going to the beach and playing bingo and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Lisa Dimitri and a brother James Johnston.
Debra is survived by three daughters: Jennifer Reed and her fiancé' Jason Marx, Port Carbon, Samantha Boyer and her husband Brandon, Port Carbon, and Tiffany Steckel; ten grandchildren: Victoria, George, Bailey, Logan, Brandi, Bella, Nathan, Colbey, Kay, and Bryn; sisters: Clare Darker and her husband Edward, Saint Clair, Barb Johnston, Pottsville, and Sandra Moore and her husband Thomas, Port Carbon; brother Kevin Johnston, Saint Clair; and nieces and nephews.
A Religious Service will be held at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home, Port Carbon at 1PM on Saturday, February 28th, with Msgn William Glosser officiating.
Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday from 11-1PM at Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home.
Interment is private at the convenience of the Family.

Beverly was the daughter of the late Doris Doree (Ney) Dunsavage and stepdaughter of the late Francis "Junior" Dunsavage.
She was born in Pottsville July 31, 1956 and was raised in Joliett by her late maternal grandparents George and Anna Brower Ney.
She graduated from Williams Valley High School in 1974 and the Pottsville Hospital School of Nursing on May 26, 1977. She had been employed at the Pottsville Hospital as a registered nurse for 40 years, 9 months, and 5 days until her retirement in March 2018. She worked in various departments in the hospital as a float pool RN. Her PH family was very important to her and she loved them dearly.
Beverly was quite involved in the Ney family genealogy and their related families. She also loved taking photos and always had her camera with her just in case an opportunity arose. Sometimes she would drive her family and friends crazy with the camera. She enjoyed leisurely walks through cemeteries on nice sunny days looking for tombstones. Some of her friends would even indulge her on one of her cemetery runs.
She was a member of the Pine Grove Historical Society and to the FindAGrave site on the internet where she would take photos of tombstones and post them online for people who were unable to visit the cemetery themselves. She was also a member of the Retired Nurses of Schuylkill County where she had served briefly as treasurer and secretary.
She was an active member of the Joliett-First United Methodist Church, Joliett, where she was the church secretary and historian. Her grandmother started taking her to the Joliett church as a young child. She and Allen were married there on October 15, 1977 by Rev. Margie Mayson.
Beverly is survived by her husband Allen, uncles Gerald Ney, Gordon, Robert Ney, Pine Grove, and Ray Ney, Pine Grove. Godchildren Matthew and Adam Rhody, sons of Daniel and Gayle Athey Rhody, Hegins, and many cousins.
She enjoyed "Saturday night game night" with Matthew and Adam since they were young children and now enjoyed playing with their children Bryce and Grayson (Matthew) Rhody, Natilee Shearstone and Gabriella (Adam) Rhody. She also enjoyed watching her cousin's children and grandchildren grow into fine young children and adults.
Funeral services will be held at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Inc, Valley View, on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Russ Nicodemus and Rev. Ronald Freeman officiating.
A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
It is Beverly's request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Doreen Ney Arndt Memorial Fund Schuylkill VoTech LPN program, Frackville, Pa 17931 or to an SPCA or historical society of your choice.

Kevin T. Zimmerman, 59, of Pine Grove, passed away early Wednesday morning, February 25, 2026 at his home with his family by his side after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Pottsville, on Friday, June 3, 1966 a son of Faye Boyer Zimmerman and the late Gerald Zimmerman. He was a 1984 graduate of Pine Grove Area High School.
At the age of 17 Kevin began his own business, K.T. Zimmerman Lumber & Logging, Pine Grove, a business he took great pride in.
He was a member of the Valley Lodge F&AM 797, Valley View, and the Widows Sons Masonic Riders, where he looked forward to riding his motorcycle with his fellow Masonic brothers.
Kevin was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, trapping, and taking in all nature had to offer. He could often be found spending time with his family and many friends, and he was always up to a good game of euchre. Kevin was also skilled in woodworking and his talent was evident in everything he made.
Kevin will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his mother, Faye Boyer Zimmerman, Pine Grove; his two children, Tobie Zimmerman and his wife Leighanne, Pine Grove, and Rachael Smith and her husband Cody, Pine Grove; a grandson, Lucian; two brothers, Troy Zimmerman and Corey Zimmerman, both of Pine Grove; two nieces; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.
A Celebration of Kevin's life will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City. A visitation will be from 10-11 at the chapel.
