Loretta Schlauch
, age 88, of Bloomsburg, recently a guest at the Laurels Senior Living Community in Hazleton, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026 while a guest at Shenandoah Senior Living Community in Shenandoah.

She was born on January 19, 1938, in Derringer, a daughter of Evelyn (Knapp) and Alvin Griesing.Loretta was a hard working woman, a lifelong homemaker who also worked in the local garment industry. Loretta was a former member of the Reformed Church in Nuremberg.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Anthony Feifer in 1977, her second husband, Donald Schlauch in 2024; a son, Matthew Feifer in 2021; a step daughter, Dianne Schlauch in 2017; and by siblings Lavonda Rutkoski, Alma Finkle, Helen Davies, Evelyn Kunkle, Richard Griesing and Myrle Griesing.

A devoted mother who loved her children, she is survived by a son and two daughters, Anthony Feifer, Debra Dennison, and Wanita Kantner; and by step children, Donald (Jake) Schlauch, Linda Schlauch, William Schlauch, David Schaluch and John Schlauch, along with grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Loretta's family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at both the Laurel's Senior Living Community in Hazleton and the Shenandoah Senior Living Community for the excellent care that they provided to Loretta during her recent stays.

The Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home is providing private services for Loretta's family during their time of need.

Doris Fay Hollenbush
, age 74, of Palo Alto, PA passed away Tuesday, February 17th, 2026 at Geisinger St. Luke's Campus in Orwigsburg.

Born in Berwick, PA on January 22, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Alice (Kindig) Hess.

Doris worked as a Medical Transcriptionist for 20+ years. She was an avid Penn State fan and loved traveling to the beach. During her time at Seton Manor she enjoyed playing bingo and became a member of many community groups.

Doris is survived by her husband of 38 years, Robert Francis Hollenbush and her son Erik Hollenbush, wife Amanda and her granddaughter Ella. Her step children Karin Moyer, husband Matthew and two grandsons Joseph and Johnathon Hollenbush. Annette Hollenbush and granddaughter Bethany Hollenbush. Her sister Zoe Ann Kroeck, her husband Karl. Her nephews Seth Fritz, wife Ashley and two great nieces Harper and Emerson. Zachary Fritz, wife Nicole and great niece Alice.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, February 25th at 7pm at the Robert A Evans Jr Funeral Home, Port Carbon.

A visitation with her family will be held from 6-7pm at the Funeral Home.

Interment will be private at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

Barbara A. Yakamavage, 86, of West West Terrace passed away Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Schuylkill Center.

Born in Pottsville July 24, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Charles H. and Esther L. (Gauntlett) Dando.

She was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School and retired as the Vice President of the Loan Department at the former Union Bank and Trust Co. Together with her husband, she also owned and operated Yakamavage’s CafĂ©, New Minersville.

Barbara was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pottsville. She enjoyed gardening and loved babysitting the joys of her life, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid sports fan and the biggest cheerleader at her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was everyone’s favorite “Nan”.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Yakamavage in 1990; a Son, David Yakamavage; Sisters, Nancy Bedway, Dorothy Novack, and infant sister Judy Dando; a Brother, Kevin Dando.

Surviving are her Daughters, Terri Leshko (Charles) and Michele Yakamavage, both of West West Terrace; Grandchildren, Lauren Thompson (Keith), Leah Eichenberg (Garrett), Christopher Joseph Leshko; Great- grandchildren, Charlee Thompson, Eli Eichenberg, and Ella Jo Eichenberg; Brothers, Charles Dando Jr. (Jean), Mifflinburg, Richard Dando (Donna), Pottsville, Linda Doyne (William), Georgia, Cheryl Wesnoski, Pottsville, and Terry Dando, Schuylkill Haven; Brothers-in-Law, Albert Bedway, Manheim, and Bernard Novack, Michigan; Nieces and Nephews.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Donations can be made to Navy Marine Corps Relief Society, 875 Randolf St. Suite 225, Arlington, VA 22203. Dutcavich Funeral Home & Cremation Care Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
