Sawyer Jayden Smith, 13, of Ashland, passed away Monday, March 30th, at his residence.
Born in Pottsville, on December 28, 2012, a son of Siena (Parkhurst) and Joseph Smith, of Ashland.
Sawyer was a 7th grade student at North Schuylkill Middle School, he previously attended Assumption BVM. He was on the wrestling and soccer teams.
Sawyer loved to travel and explore new places, going on various trips with his mom and dad. He deeply loved his family and two Dobermans.
He attended Christ's United Church, Ashland.
In addition to his parents, Sawyer is survived by his maternal grandparents Todd and Connie Parkhurst, Friedensburg; paternal grandmother Darlene Smith, Schuylkill Haven; uncles Simon, Julian and Alexander Parkhurst and Paul E. Smith, Jr.; aunt Jennifer Flecha; and cousins Dyllan and Caleb Smith, Silas Flecha and Samuel and Elijah Parkhurst.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Paul E. Smith.
A funeral service will be held at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven at 11 am on Tuesday, April 7th with Pastor Brian Beissel officiating.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville.
Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home. Inc., Schuylkill Haven has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Genevieve (Bonalle) Michelcavage, 92, of Minersville, PA, died March 25, 2026, in Michigan, where she had resided for the past seven years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Stiney; her sister, Joan Kurilla; and her brother, Joseph Bonalle.
She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn (Thomas) Haffey; her son, Stanley (Holly) Michelcavage; and her grandchildren, Marie Haffey, Tommy (the late Jessica) Haffey, Bethany (Scott) Wheat, and Kevin (Lauren) Michelcavage. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Christian (Lauren), Raelynn, Lucas, Brooks, and Harper.
Services will be held at a later date.

He was the son of Patrick J. and Mary H. Pitts Kelly. He was predeceased by a brother, Jerome P. Kelly.
He was born at the former Locust Mountain State General Hospital on April 22, 1939. He lived most of his life in Girardville, until moving to State College in 2005
He was a member of the former St. Joseph Church, Girardville, and currently of Our Lady of Victory Church of State College.
He is survived by Dorothy A. Kramer Kelly, his wife of 64 years; two sons, Dennis P. Kelly of Pittsburgh, and Robert S. Kelly and his wife, Linda, of State College; a grandson, Sean P. Kelly of Pittsburgh; and two nieces, Noel Norris and Venessa Stosser, both of Virginia.
Bob attended St. Joseph Catholic School in Girardville until closing. He then attended and graduated from Immaculate Heart High School graduating in 1957.
He was employed by the Commonwealth of PA at the Hamburg Center in Hamburg, PA.
He was a Veteran serving 6 years in the U.S. Naval Reserves, 2 of which were on active duty. He was a member of the American Legion Post 245 of State College, a former Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Father Sheridan Council 748, a life member of the BPOE Elks Lodge and a life member of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians.
Bob was a musician, playing saxophone in many groups and bands in Schuylkill County and other areas. He was a member of the American Federation of Musicians.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Our Lady of Victory Church, 820 Westerly Parkway, State College with Father George Jakopac officiating. Visitation will be held in the church from 9:00am until the hour of the service.
A Memorial Service at graveside will be held on Wednesday, April 22nd at 12 noon in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Fountain Springs.

Edwin W. "Buddy" Klinger, Sr., 86, of W. Laurel St., Tremont, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026 at home surrounded by loved ones.
Born on April 30, 1939 in Tremont, he was a son of the late Edwin and Helen C. Williams Klinger.
He was a United States Army veteran.
Edwin was a jack of all trades and an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on cars and drag racing and loved shopping.
He was a member of St. Peter's UCC in Tremont.
Preceding him in death were his wife of 59 years, Faith J. Klinger on Jan. 28, 2026; and a sister, H. Cassandra Sandy Eisenhauer.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas and wife Ruth Piaskowski of Deer Lake, Edwin Klinger, Jr. of Tremont; four daughters, Michelle and husband Eric Bressler of Bethel, Cassandra and husband Bruce Renninger of Tremont, Catherine and husband Jamie Brown of Tremont, Janette and husband Kevin Harris of Tremont; 11 grandchildren, Thomas and wife Jamie Piaskowski, Ronald Piaskowski, Jenna and husband Brandon Bretz, Robert Bressler, Angela and wife Amanda Orzalek, Kenneth Reiner and fiancé Andrea, Gabrielle and Hayden Brown, Hailey Klinger, Gavin and Sophie Harris; 7 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services and interment for both Edwin and Faith will be held on Thursday, April 9 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at the German Reformed Cemetery, Tremont with Pastor David Fehr officiating.

Vincent Joseph Bova, 53 of New Boston, PA passed away Friday, March 27, at his sister’s residence surrounded by family.
Vincent was born in Pottsville, PA on April 6, 1972, and was the son of the late Helen M (Kristopaitis) Bova.
He graduated from Mahanoy Area High School, class of 1990.
He worked as a laborer for several local industries, the last being the former Alcoa before his disability.
Vincent is survived by a son, Skylar DiPasquale, and daughter, Shayla DiPasquale, both of Shickshinny, PA.
Vincent is also survived by three sisters: Betty Ann, wife of the late Russell Weinberger of Tooele, UT; Karen, wife of Robert McQuillan of Pottsville; and Donna, wife of Robert Hasty of Mahanoy City, and a brother, John Bova, husband of Sandy, of Shenandoah.
Vincent was an avid fan of Ohio State Football and WWF. He also enjoyed casino outings with his sister.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
Cremation Society of Schuylkill County has been entrusted with arrangements.
