Edward “Eddie” Demyanovich
, 68, of Tamaqua, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2026, surrounded by his loving family after battling several health issues. He was the husband of the late Tracy (Williams) Demyanovich, to whom he was married for eight years at the time of her death in 2023.

Born in Coaldale, Eddie was a son of the late Edward and Anne Joan (Coury) Demyanovich. He was a 1975 graduate of Marian High School and received an Associate Degree in Automotive Technology from Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology. Later, he received a teaching certification in auto mechanics from Temple University.

A lifelong auto enthusiast, Eddie dedicated his career to mechanics. He worked at Maff Motors in Tamaqua before becoming an instructor at Schuylkill Technology Center North, where he inspired countless students with his knowledge and passion for repairing automobiles. In his later years, he continued sharing his skills at Hope’s Collision and Towing in Tamaqua.

Eddie’s love of cars, teaching, and helping others left a lasting impact on all who knew him. He will be remembered for his kind heart, generosity, and the joy he brought to his family and friends. He always had a great story to tell and could keep anyone he was with laughing for hours.

Edward is survived by two sisters, Catherine Datchko of Tamaqua and Annie McLaughlin and her husband, Frank, of Canton, New York; six cherished nieces, Jennifer Mateyak, Jessica Tirpak, Jillian Datchko, Erin Carroll, Emily Vadimsky, and Sally Alonge; and ten great-nephews and one great-niece, all of whom adored their Uncle Eddie. He also leaves behind many friends, to whom he was very special.

A funeral will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home, 500 East Broad Street, Tamaqua, with The Rev. Dillon Epler officiating. Interment in Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown, will follow the service. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday and from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Wednesday.

Memorial contributions in Eddie’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Online condolences may be made at www.zgfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are entrusted to Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Tamaqua.
