The Schuylkill County Bar Association Scholarship Fund is now accepting applications for scholarship assistance for Schuylkill County students pursuing a legal education.
Attorney Margaret A. Ulmer, president of the Scholarship Fund, announced that applications are available for students who are currently attending law school or preparing to enroll.

To qualify, applicants must have been residents of Schuylkill County for at least three consecutive years. Eligible students must either be enrolled in a law school accredited by the American Bar Association or have completed law school aptitude testing and applied for admission to a law school.

Applications can be obtained through the Schuylkill County Bar Association Scholarship Fund office located in the Law Library on the fourth floor of the Schuylkill County Courthouse, 401 N. Second Street, Pottsville. The office can also be reached by phone at 570-628-1235.

Completed applications must be submitted by July 15, 2026.

According to the announcement, the Scholarship Fund Directors will review each application and determine awards based on a variety of factors intended to address the needs of applicants. Successful recipients will be notified as soon as possible following the review process.

This year marks the 49th year of the scholarship aid program. In 2025, scholarship awards were distributed to 11 law school students.
