William B. "Bill" Welk, 83 years of age, of West Penn Township passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial in Coaldale, Pennsylvania.
Born December 14, 1942 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania the son of the late John S. Sr. and Evelyn M. (Schaffer) Welk. Bill was also predeceased by; brother, John S. Welk Jr.
Surviving are; his wife Patricia (Barnes) Roseberry; daughter, Margot Welk; step daughters, Jessica Roseberry and Sarah Brown; grandchildren, Sophia Humnicky, Alexia Roseberry, Colton, Travis, and Marshall Brown.
A Nazareth High School graduate, Bill served in the United States Army. Bill has owned and operated his family's service station, Welk's Shell of Nazareth, for over 40 years. Bill enjoyed traveling and life's simple pleasures like cutting grass on his farm.

Sue was a 1946 graduate of Pottsville Area High School. She was a lifelong member of Saints Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Minersville, and was active in Beta Sigma Phi service sorority for much of her adult life.
Sue had a long and successful career as an expert insurance agent for two prominent agencies in Pottsville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Stephen who passed away in 1993. Sue was the last of the Majeskie siblings and was preceded in death by her nine cherished brothers and sisters.
Sue is survived by her children: David Wartella, husband to Patricia of Pottsville; Christine Wartella, wife of Michael MacInnis of Far Hills, NJ; and Carol Powell, wife of Curt of Phoenixville, PA. She is also survived by five grandsons and three great grandchildren, all of whom she treasured.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Providence Place, Hospice of Central PA, and Jean Ann Schwartz for their kind and loving care.
The office of Christian Burial with Devine Liturgy will be held noon on Friday, May 8, at Saints Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, 107 S. 4th Street, Minersville, PA 17954. Family and friends are welcome for visitation from 9:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at Grabowski Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven. Interment will follow mass at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Llewellyn.

Doug was born on May 24, 1956 a son of Walter and Blanche Starkey of Mahanoy City. He is survived by his mother and a brother Dean Starkey, husband of Debra.
Doug attended Mahanoy Area High School where he enjoyed wrestling and playing the trumpet.
Doug loved researching local history and posting his finds online. He also had a passion for drawing and painting most of his life. Recently he was proud to have entered a personnel painting for the Block of Art Show in Pottsville.
A service will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Born in Coaldale, Bill was a son of the late Adorra Becker. He was a 1961 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School and furthered his education at Thaddeus Stevens Trade School, graduating in 1964. He was employed for over 40 years by PP&L, beginning as a lineman and later working as a systems operator before retiring as a supervisor of system operations in the Lancaster office.
Bill was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tamaqua, where he also served on the church council. He was active in the Boy Scouts and was a camp counselor at Camp Nisatin (now Hawk Mountain Scout Reservation) in Summit Station. He was known for his strong work ethic, steady nature, quiet resolve, and depth of knowledge. Above all, he was a devoted family man who was always willing to lend a hand and put others before himself.
Bill is survived by his wife, Marie Ann, of Lancaster; two daughters, Jennifer Smith and her husband, Ron, of Lititz, and Ann Morris and her husband, Ed, of Cape Coral, Florida; three grandchildren, Dominic Fresoli, Dylan Smith, and Madison Smith; and two nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Evans.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, May 29th at Odd Fellows Cemetery, 503 West Broad Street, Tamaqua.
Memorial donations in Bill’s name may be made to Four Diamonds, an organizational partner of Penn State Health Children’s Hospital and Penn State College of Medicine that supports children battling pediatric cancer, at www.fourdiamonds.org.

Becky was born in Orwigsburg, Pa. on November 14, 1930, a daughter of the late Laura (Shoup) and Herman Folk.
She was the widow of Norman F. Lengel who passed away in 2021.
Becky was a member of Congregational Free Church of Christ, Orwigsburg, and was a graduate of Orwigsburg High School, class of 1948. She graduated from Kutztown University in 1952 with a Bachelors degree in teaching.
She worked as a elementary school teacher at Hamburg Elementary School and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Orwigsburg Chapter, #424 and the BPW/PA, Business Professional Women's Club, Inc.
She is survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins
A Religious Service will be held at 10:15 AM on Saturday, May 9th at Hamilton - Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg, with Rev. Jeffrey C. Stonesifer officiating. Visitation will begin at 9 AM with an Eastern Star Service at 10 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated made to either the Order of the Eastern Star, Orwigsburg Chapter, # 424 , Congregational Free Church of Christ , or Hillside SPCA.
Interment will follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Inc. Schuylkill Haven.

Born in Port Carbon on September 7, 1940. After honorably serving his country in the United States Coast Guard, Bill returned home to build a life centered on hard work and craftsmanship. He spent his career as an electrician for several local manufacturing companies, but his true passion lay in working with his hands.
A gifted carpenter, painter, and whittler, Bill was known for his generosity, often extending his talents to help family and friends with various projects. His creative spirit shone through in the beautiful murals he painted and his daily enjoyment of word jumbles.
Bill’s legacy lives on through his beloved wife of many years, Mary Louise “Weezie” (Collins) Ryan; his son, Nolan Ryan and wife Sherri; and his daughters, Tricia Maradeo, Stacy Marie Vlcek wife of Paul, and Denise L. Zaldaris and her companion Shane Brady. He was the proud grandfather of Heather, Bailee, Cassidy, Aeris, Gabbi, Jake, Pj, and his wife Brianna; great-grandfather to Theo, Vera, Jovi, Declan,Delilah,Ophelia.
He was preceded in death by his; parents; daughter, Stephanie A. Ryan; his sisters, Virginia Southerland and Winnie Bower; and his brothers, James and Mickey Ryan.

Bill will be laid to rest with Military honors at Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville.

Ron was born in Pine Grove on November 6, 1936, a son of the late Ray A. & Norma E. (Warner) Lengle.
Married 32 happy years, he was the widower of Marlene M. (Moyer) Lengle.
Ron was a 1954 graduate of Cressona High School.
He was a proud truck driver, having worked 61 years for several companies.
Ron was known as being a good man and provider who lived for his family. He loved his brothers, adored his children, and was so proud of his grandchildren. He is survived by three children: Dennis Ronald Lengle, St. Clair, Kimberly Kramer, Pine Grove, & Heidi Hoffman, wife of Donald, Hegins, grandchildren: Tyler Fessler, Zachary, & Cassandra Bensinger, Jayden, Jacob, Donald, & Dustin Hoffman, two brothers: Scott Lengle, husband of Judy, Pine Grove, & Peter Lengle, Pine Grove, and nieces & nephews.
His legacy will live in the hearts of those who loved him the most. He will be deeply missed.
In addition to his parents and wife, Ron is also preceded in death by his grandson, Ryan Fessler, & brother, Trevor Lengle.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be conducted on Saturday, May 9th at 10:30 AM at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Friedensburg. A Viewing will be held at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of service at the church.
Interment will follow immediately at the St. John’s Union Cemetery, Friedensburg.
The family prefers remembrances in the form of contributions in his memory to Hillside SPCA PO Box 233 Pottsville, PA 17901.
