Francis S. Vilcheck, 46, of Wilkes Barre, passed away Tuesday, April 28th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill, E. Norwegian St., Pottsville.

Born in Pottsville, on November 7, 1979, a son of Jamie (Hoptak) Vilcheck, of Pottsville and Francis M. Vilcheck and his wife Suzanne (Julian) Vilcheck, of New Philadelphia.

He was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School, class of 1998. He was employed by the city of Wilkes Barre.

In addition to his father, step mother and mother, he is survived by his son Luke Vilcheck, St. Clair; sister Rachel Vilcheck, Texas; nieces and nephews Alyssa, Adra, Gemma, George, Sean Paul, Sean and Demarkus; paternal grandmother Margaret (Burkey) Vilcheck, Pottsville; maternal grandmother Catherine Hoptak, Pottsville; aunt Margaret Ann Vilcheck, Mary D; cousins.

He is preceded in death by his brother Sean Vilcheck, who passed away in 1998.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 7th at Haus Bartashus Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. in New Philadelphia.

A viewing for family and friends will be held prior from 10 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be held at a later date at St. Bartholomew’s Cemetery, Brockton.

Kay I. Smith
, 69, of Pottsville, passed away Wednesday, April 29th, at her residence.

Born in Pottsville, on July 19, 1956, a daughter of the late Kay (Kull) and Louis Tray.

She was the widow of Wayne W. Smith, Jr.

She was a graduate of St. Clair High School. She was formerly employed by various retail stores.

Kay is survived by her children Wayne Smith, III, Palo Alto, Kay Martin wife of Jason, Port Carbon, Rose Newman and her significant other Erich Borell, Pottsville, Chrissy Smith, Pottsville, Cindy Smith and her fiancé Albert Dusel, Port Carbon; grandchildren Tyler, Madison, Noah, Emma, Wayne IV, Kalie, Lauren, Layne, Briana, Kierstin, Shaina, Tanisha, Ryan, Brendan, Jason, Joshua and Ashley; great grandchildren Jayse, Benson and Ivy; sisters Patricia Deysher wife of Michael, Lake Wynonah, Helen Burdess, Maryland, Mary Place wife of Thomas, St. Clair and Jackie Starnowsky wife of Donald, Tower City.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, May 4th at Lord Ebling Haus Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. in Pottsville.

A viewing for family and friends will be held prior from 10:30 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Charles Baber Cemetery Pottsville, PA.

Edward J. Domkus
, 96, of Shenandoah Heights, PA, passed away Tuesday, April 28th, at home.

Ed was born in Mahanoy City, PA on November 5, 1929, the son of Joseph and Rose Domkus.

He graduated from Mahanoy City High School, and from McCanns School of Business Mahanoy City.

Ed was a member of Divine Mercy Shenandoah.

He served in the U.S. Marines.

Ed had worked for Cleveland Brothers Frackville and Retired from New Cumberland Army Depot.

He was a member of the Shenandoah Senior Citizens and the A. P. Damato Post 792 Shenandoah.

Ed was the husband of Frances Domkus.

Ed is survived by a son, Joseph, husband of Kristel, of Frackville.

He is preceded in death by brothers Vincent, Joseph, and sisters Rita Boczkowski, and Helen Yodis

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Monday, May 4th at Divine Mercy in Shenandoah, PA with Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian officiating.

Friends and Family may call from 9 AM to 10 AM on Monday, May 4th at Divine Mercy in Shenandoah, PA.

Interment will follow at a later date at National Cemetery Fort Indiantown Gap Annville, PA.

Patricia M. "Trish" Seiders
, 52 of Pottsville, died peacefully Wednesday morning at home surrounded by her family.

She was born March 15, 1974 in Pottsville, a daughter of MaryAnn Marcovich Heenan, Pottsville and the late Thomas J. Heenan, Sr.

Trish's life was one of steadfast devotion to her family, friends, and faith. Her enduring spirit and dedication have left an indelible imprint on those who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.

She was a 1992 graduate of Pottsville Area High School, Trish furthered her education at Central Penn Business School.

She devoted her professional life to the Lehigh Valley Health Network as a technical partner in the Oncology department.

Trish was an active member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville, where she served as a greeter—a role through which she welcomed many with warmth and belonging within the parish.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 31 years, Jeremy Seiders of Pottsville, and their two daughters, Lilly Seiders and Alyssa Seiders Ferra, her husband Joshua, and their son, Avery, all of Philadelphia. Her siblings: Catherine Ballat and her husband Paul of Lock Haven; Colleen Bowers and her husband Jerry of Pottsville; Maureen Hribick and her husband Stephen of Bethlehem; Thomas J. Heenan, Jr., and his wife Michelle of Pottsville; and Eileen Wesler and her husband William of Austin, Texas. Additionally, her nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins mourn her passing and celebrate her life.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11AM Tuesday, May 5th at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 9AM until the time of Mass at the church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Trish be made to St. Patrick Memorial Fund, 319 Mahantongo St. Pottsville, PA 17901.
