Marlene Randig, 93, of Topton and formerly of Tamaqua and Andreas, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, in Topton. She was the wife of the late Carl Johnson, who died in 1973, and the late Edwin Paul Randig, who died in 2022.
Born in Andreas, Marlene was a daughter of the late Pierce and Frances (Rupell) Kershner. She attended the one-room schoolhouse in Andreas, Pennsylvania and, together with her husband Edwin, owned and operated the former Vogue Cleaners in Tamaqua for 25 years. A talented seamstress, she took great pride in her work and in serving the community through the family business.
Marlene was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Tamaqua, the Tamaqua American Legion Auxiliary, and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was also active with the Red Hat Society and the Hometown Senior Center.
Marlene enjoyed traveling and cherished the many adventures she shared with family and friends. Among her favorite memories were a cross-country camping trip to California and a journey through New England. She also enjoyed many weekend trips with her husband Edwin to barbershop music events and gatherings.
Marlene is survived by her son Ricky Johnson and his wife, Rosanne, of Still Creek, and a daughter, Michele Randall and her husband, Will, of Kutztown; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Diane Johnson of Tamaqua; two step-sons, Edwin Randig and his wife, Alyssa, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Alex Kristof of Bethlehem; a sister, Dollie Frantz of Coaldale; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Carl Johnson and Edwin Randig; her sons, Bruce Johnson and William Johnson; her brothers, Melvin, Elwood, Curtis, and Marlin Kershner; and her sisters, Mildred Rehrig and Pauline Meckel.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, June 12, at the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home, 500 East Broad Street, Tamaqua, with The Rev. Kevin Duffy-Guy officiating. Interment in Sky-View Memorial Park will follow the service. Friends may call from 10 to 11 AM at the funeral home.

Bruce Carroll, 67, of Weatherly and formerly of Tamaqua, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026, in Bethlehem.
Born in Coaldale, he was a son of the late Eugene Carroll and Lucy (Martin) Carroll.
Bruce was a 1979 graduate of the Schuylkill County High School at the Special Education Center in MarLin, and he was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ.
Music was the great passion of Bruce's life. He found joy in listening to and sharing music with others and was known for his appreciation of a wide variety of musical styles. Above all, he was devoted to his family. A kind and caring man, Bruce genuinely cared about everyone he met and was always happiest when surrounded by those he loved.
Bruce is survived by a sister, Nancy Rinker and her husband, David, of McAdoo; a brother, David Carroll and his wife, Carol, of Lake Hauto; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Brode and her husband, Roger, both of whom lovingly cared for Bruce throughout his life.
A graveside service will be held at 10 AM on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Odd Fellows Cemetery, 503 West Broad Street, Tamaqua, with The Rev. Cindy White officiating.
Memorial contributions in Bruce's name may be made to the Tamaqua Community Arts Center Music Programs, 125 Pine Street, Tamaqua, PA 18252.

Dolly Ann Straight LPN, 72, of Shamokin passed away Thursday morning June 4, 2026 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born in Danville on August 16, 1953 she was the daughter of the late Estella (Morgan) and Charles Wolfgang.
Dolly graduated from Penn View Christian Academy and from the STC Nursing Program in Minersville.
She was a member of the Friendly Holiness Church in Helfenstein.
For many years she worked as the nursing home administrator for the former Friendly Nursing Home in Pitman. She most recently worked for Classic Quality Homes in Lewisburg as a secretary.
Dolly enjoyed her grandchildren and teaching Sunday School.
She was preceded in death by; parents; sister Shirley L. Thomas; brother Donald Wolfgang.
Dolly is survived by; spouse Kent Straight; son William Straight (Esther), Sunbury; daughter Tina Wolf (Dale), Paxinos; 9 grandchildren Charles, Brennan, Owen, Colin, Cheyanne, Delroy, Estella, Joel & Samuel; many nieces & nephews.
Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday morning June 9, 2026 at Friendly Holiness Church, 6908 Upper Road, Shamokin PA 17872. A viewing for family and friends will be Monday evening June 8th from 6:00-8:00 PM and Tuesday morning from 9:00-10:00 AM all at the church. Burial will be at Mount Carmel Cemetery following services.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Dolly’s memory to Friendly Holiness Church, 6908 Upper Road, Shamokin PA 17872.

Anthony M. Vince, 85, of N. Tulpehocken St., Pine Grove, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at home.
Born on April 28, 1941 in Shenandoah, he was a son of the late Anthony M. Vinchofsky and Dorothy Mae Quinn McGrath.
He was an Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam War.
Anthony last worked for Pottsville Bleach and Dye Co.
Preceding him in death was a sister, Dorothy "Dolly" Kuehn.
Surviving are his daughter, Tracy Vince of Pine Grove; three grandchildren, Cassandra Vince, Jacob Lehr and Alexus Lehr; three great grandchildren, Addyson, Jackson and Mercedes; and a brother, Thomas Vinchofsky.
Graveside Services and interment will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville with Pastor Barry Spatz officiating. There will be a procession leaving the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove promptly at 10:00 A.M. to go to the cemetery. Anyone wishing to follow in the procession should be at the Funeral Home no later than 9:45 A.M. on Wednesday.
