Lamar Walter Wall
, age 79, of Minersville, PA, passed away Friday, May 29th, 2026 at Edenbrook at Greenwood Hill, Pottsville.

Born in Pottsville, PA on January 9, 1947, he was the son of the late William T. and Mildred (Weaver) Wall.

Lamar was a graduate of Pottsville High School, Class of 1965. He worked as a machine operator at Honeywell in Pottsville. After retirement, Lamar had his own handyman business and worked part time at Luther Ridge in the maintenance department. He was a member of the Pottsville Jaycees.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: David Wall, Rev. Thomas Wall and William Wall.

Lamar is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lenore Joan (Gregan) Wall; son Timothy Wall; daughter Wendy Danchision (Danny); grandchildren: Marcus and Melana Danchision, Gabrielle Wall, and Angela Bowers (David); great grandchidlren: Davin and Aspen Bowers; sister Shirley Valentine (Bruce); and nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services are private at the convenience of family.

The Robert A Evans Jr Funeral Home, Port Carbon in in charge of arrangements.

Bernice Vlcek, 76, of Tamaqua, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, in Orwigsburg. She was the wife of Brian Vlcek, to whom she was married for nearly 36 years.

Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late James and Katherine (Kratson) Sebastian.

Bernice was a 1967 graduate of Mahanoy Area High School and later attended McCann’s School of Business. She was previously employed in a secretarial position for the Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce.

Bernice enjoyed music, dancing, and especially cherished time spent outdoors. She and her husband Brian enjoyed walking at Rabbit Run and Tuscarora State Park, as well as fishing and cooking.

Surviving are her husband, Brian Vlcek of Tamaqua; a son, Clinton Rupert of Iowa; several grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Todd Rupert; and by three siblings, Joseph Sebastian, Janet Sebastian, and Chester Sebastian.

Services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home, 500 East Broad Street, Tamaqua, with Pastor Kevin Roberts officiating. Family and friends may call from 9 to 11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. A private interment will be held at a later date.

Memorials in Bernice’s name may be made to the Hillside SPCA, PO Box 233, 51 SPCA Road, Pottsville, PA 17901 or to Ruth Steinert SPCA, 18 Wertz Drive, Pine Grove, PA 17963. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home, Tamaqua.
