PennDOT announced that its driver’s license and photo centers will be closed from Saturday, September 5, through Monday, September 7, 2026, in observance of Labor Day.
Although the centers will be closed, PennDOT said many driver and vehicle services will remain available online throughout the holiday weekend.
Customers can access PennDOT’s Driver and Vehicle Services website 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to complete a variety of transactions.
Online services include:
- Driver’s license, photo ID and vehicle registration renewals
- Driver history services
- Address changes
- Driver’s license and vehicle registration restoration letters
- Payment of driver’s license or vehicle insurance restoration fees
- Duplicate driver’s licenses and photo IDs
- REAL ID pre-verification
- Driver exam scheduling
PennDOT said there are no additional fees for using its online driver and vehicle services.
Regular operations at driver’s license and photo centers are expected to resume following the Labor Day holiday.
