A fatal crash has closed a section of Route 309 in eastern Schuylkill County and neighboring Lehigh County as emergency crews remain on the scene Friday afternoon.
As of 4:30 p.m. Friday, Route 309 is closed at the intersection with Route 895 in West Penn Township and Mountain Road in Lynn Township due to the crash.
The crash reportedly involved 2 tractor trailers that struck head-on.
